If God is evil then all of Creation is evil. If all of Creation is evil, then you must be evil too as you are part of Creation. The question then belies within your own being: are you evil? If the question is posed out of the perception that God is evil because His will is not aligned with yours, the question is all the more valid. The answer is within you, "seek it and you will find it".

I put my faith and trust in the love and mercy of the one true God, and rejoice in salvation of my eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but if you are talking about the Christian God, and not understanding His justice as well as his mercy, then you'll just have to live with your conundrum. Or deny it, up to you.
