I listen to my favorite channels on XM and I try not to make eye contact with any one as that could be seen as a challenge and things can escalate out of control from there.

In a city, when someone becomes upset, ignore them. IF you caused the problem, mouth "I'm sorry". Most people will accept an apology. DO NOT react with aggressiveness....that might get you killed. When I am out on the interstate or other fast track roads I watch the traffic. When a large group of cars catch to me I let them ALL get passed and then I will run between the groups. If you will notice, on an interstate there will be groups of cars running together. Stay out of those groups. Let them go on and do their own thing. Get in between the groups and you will be a LOT safer and also away for 99% of the road rage. Good luck. Pops

Most of the time I try to get in a Zen-like state where I let go and realize that other people will drive stupid and there is nothing I can do about it. The only thing you can control is your own attitude. If you are going to be stuck in traffic for an extra half an hour because of an accident you can either sit there and fume the whole time or crank up the radio and sing along.

I tend to curse a lot to keep from driving aggressively.
But one thing I've found that completely takes my mind off how badly other people drive is listening to comic standup routines in my car.
You can download a lot of them off the internet.
Just listening to those guys curse and pull jokes keeps my mind occupied and leaves me just happily rolling with traffic.
Especially good for Road Rage:
Louis Black and Ron White ;)
Good luck!

Honestly, I listen to audiobooks instead of the radio or music cd's.
I've found that when I'm listening to a good book, I don't get as irritated with people. I also tend to take it a little slower and am no longer speeding like a mad woman trying to get to where I need to be because I want to spend more time in my car to finish listening to the book.

If you're 8 months pregnant you probably shouldn't be driving.

well, I simply grip my steering wheel real tight and one of two things: I take a dreap breath, and say Oooh, make me mad...or I say Ok...ok, I see how it is....ya got me...hehe...good for you. IF that don't work I just sing You suck, you suck, cuz you cannot drive your truck...yeah, I'm wierd.

ROAD RAGE is only another name for SELFISHNESS.
People should learn to control their behaviour and moods and not act like neanderthals or children.
