here's my idea of the tattoo...it will be a treble clef in black and about 2 cm by 3 cm behind my ear. it's my first time getting a tattoo so i'm wondering if the price of S$60 is too high? need answers soon cause i am having it done tomorrow.
also, if i add a bass clef tattoo to behind my left ear, it will be S$100 in total. is it too much or reasonable? it will be done at a shop called "visual orgasm".

That is a good price where I come from (QLD, Australia) Many tattoo studios here have a minimum price of $80. For a treble clef, even tho it is small, it is very fiddly with lots of fine work, so this can put the price of a small tattoo up a little. Can I just say, try to put it in a place where it won't get misshapen as you get older? Small tattoos can do that, ask your artist about it. Good luck.

With different skin tones from very light to very dark, the look of ink injected into the skin, will be affected by the tone. Imagine that you had lines of differing color and white and black, Then imagine placing colored glass on top of it. Some colors show through dark skin and some do not. And the lighter skinned you are, the more difficulty you have in not having your image too 'hard' or gaudy. Much also depends on the ink, and how skilled the artist. And, old tattoos, that have gotten a lot of sun exposure, will have faded. Dark skin with a fresh black tattoo, will have a tattoo that shows up well, and if they take excellent aftercare, it will also show up well after it heals, and then if they use sunblock, then it will look strong for years.

I think for that size of tattoo it is a little high, but if the tattoo parlor has a good rep. I would just get it done there, you could maybe get it cheaper somewhere else but you are going to maybe have someone with less experience and/or not have as clean shop. Cause i have a tat on my right foot and it is 4cm by 1 cm and it was only $30.00 but i know the tattooist really well because she did my other 2 tattoos and i have brought several other people in there to get tattoo's. So if you feel comfortable with that tattooist just stick with them, and have fun, and enjoy getting the tat!! :)

I think that is reasonable for that tat. I think that the reason it is a little more than you would normally pay for one that size is b/c of the location. but that is a really good deal to get both done for $100. It also depends on where you are from. I am from St Louis, MO and the shops I have been to have the base prices anywhere from 40-60.

Tattoo parlors usually have a basic set fee, for example they will charge $40 just to do any tattoo no matter the size, then they might add the cost of the tattoo (possibly $20) on top of the set fee.

I think it is priced well because usually most tat shops charge 40 bucks min no matter what size and they probably added on the extra 20 because it's in a tough spot. GL and have fun!

It's a good, reasonable price. Most shops have a sixty dollar minimum.

If it were too cheap, I would get scared. That is a good price.

For that size, it sounds right.
