No way of knowing how much he's paid in taxes over the years, that is priviliged information between him/his wife & the IRS. He is worth about $40 Billion or so now, so he'd be worth at least that much if he could sell all his Microsoft stock without having to pay taxes on the gain on selling it.

What kind of idiot would advocate for Bill Gates not to pay taxes?
This kind of questioning is materialistic and stupid.
Is he your brother or something? Why do you care? It's like giving a crap how much a movie makes at the box office. It does not matter. This is greed and materialism at its worst...

If he hadn't had to pay taxes, I'd guess he'd be worth a heck of a lot more than he is today. How much, no way to say.

im not sure, i believe he gets special treatment as his company employs so many people and generates such wealth - he threatened to relocate to Europe some years back when in dispute with the US government. They backed down on economic grounds.
Also, I heard that the top 400 billionnaires in the US have more money the the GDP of the whole of Canada! imagine that! 400 men have generated more than the whole of Canada in a year!
