My body rots and decays when I die.
Hell is a non-existant place.... so I suppose I go to hell when I die, since it is all the same.
No difference really, so no basis on which to judge.
Both happen.

To rot and decay when i die.It is the law of nature.A body which from earth has to back to the earth.I do not believe in hell, because the concept of hell is created only to see that man things twice while committing any evil. To keep man under control of his evil activity this concept of hell was introduced.

Well everyone's physical body is going to rot and decay when we die. There's no getting around it, except with cremation I guess.
But we have a choice of whether our soul will go to Heaven or hell. It's actually very simple. I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

Well I watched my mother die this way from cancer but I know that when she passed away, the Lord was there to say "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" because she lived like a saint. I never have to worry about where she is.
I think it would have been far worse had she broken all life's rules and lived for herself and gone to hell, because she would still be suffering. BTW You are not really an atheist at all and you asked a very good question "Even the fool in his heart knows there is a God" the Bible says.

I would think it would be worse to die and go to heaven and find out that a loved one is in Hell, and I can't do anything about it. That's why there can be no heaven, if heaven is supposed to be eternal happiness.

It's a shame that you do not believe in God. He still believes in you.
In answer to your question, I believe that your body's rotting and decaying would not be felt by you as your soul leaves your body when you die. But when you go to Hell, your soul experiences eternal torture. Which do you think is worse?
I'd say Hell.
Or you could choose to believe in God, repent of your sins and go to Heaven - a place of eternal peace and happiness.

As an athetist, what is your idea of hell?
personally, i dont really believe it (agnostic here)
so the obvious answer is to decay and have no knowledge of ever existing. i'd hate that though, so naturally i tend to believe that theres no heaven or hell, but something. what that something is, i dont have a clue and dont think i ever will
if hell is what Christians, or 'God' claim it to be, then i sure as hell dont want to go there!

If Hell exists, then going there would be far worse. Would you not rather just be dead and gone than to be tortured for eternity?
That said, I don't really believe in Hell anyway. So it doesn't matter.

If Hell is real and everything they say it is, I am sure I would rather just rot and decay.

Two very different questions surely.
The physical body will of course decay.
If you believe in heaven or hell then it is your personal choice to believe if you are destined to go to either one.
If you are making an ironic comment on the belief versus disbelief case - you make it poorly. Sorry.
