A large portion of the cereals on the market are most definitely not healthy for you. Per serving, Cinnamon Toast Crunch has 24 g of carbs, of which 10 g is sugar, and 1 gram of protein which was probably rounded up knowing how they do nutritional information labels. That's not so bad until you realize that a serving is 3/4 of a cup or 30 grams. Not only I have never been satisfied with 30 grams of cereal for any breakfast, but 80% of that serving is carbohydrates with 3% being protein. That's not a balanced meal by any definition. In contrast, a single serving of Cheerios (100 grams) has 74 grams of carbohydrates (6 grams is sugar) and 12 grams of protein. Yes, the cheerios has almost as many carbohydrates, but it's not 30% sugar like the toast crunch so it's better. However, as healthy as Cheerios is, I still don't think it's that healthy since it's been processed to hell and back.

I was taught this easy tip when taking a nutrition class at Curves For Women; if you look at the nutrition label on the side of the box, look where it says sugar...if you multiply that by 2 and the number is higher than the carb number, then it is not healthy for you.

no, it's a processed food, filled with sugar, and empty calories. one of the heatheir cereal choices is regular oatmeal with nothing already added to it. that way you are in control of what is added to it to flavor and sweeten it, such as adding fresh fruit, cinnamon, splenda, etc. it also helps lower your cholesterol and has alot of good nutrition and fiber! i eat it every work day morning...it's a good warm meal and keeps me feeling full until lunch time :)

As long as you drink some orange juice with it, and have a slice of toast and a piece of fruit, you're all o.k.
