I'm embarrassed but I rarely watch or read the news, did Israel bomb Syria? What's the nut of Iran saying now about it? I've only read pieces.
God bless Israel!

It seems they did and for good reason. The day I heard about it, I heard the North Koreans complaining that it happened which seems odd since North Korea shouldn't have much to do with either Israel or Syria... unless, oh, say, North Korea was trying to help Syria build nukes and the raid cost them materials and the lives of some of their nuclear scientists....

UPDATE: This is from the day the story hit, supposedly at the time Israel was going after arms shipments from Iran destined for hezbollah:

North Korea this week condemned the Israeli incursion, calling it a "dangerous provocation."

Arrrgh the levels of idiocy. Yes, Israel did bomb Syria. FOr one reason. Not cause of Hezbola. Cause of nukes. The USA is shutting down N.Korea's nuclear facilities right now. The Koreans are passing whatever material and technology they have onto their allies in Iran and in this case, Syria. Apparently, the Israelis shared their satellite information with US intelligence that there were N.Korean nuclear technicians in Syria working in some facility, most possibly assembling nuclear weapons, in the northern part of the country. Israel takes a sqaudron of F-15's and basically just bombs the facility. Boom, target neutralized, time to go. As they fly back towards Israel, the Syrians finally wake up, and shoot at one plane. The plane jettisons its extra fuel pods and safely escapes to Israel with the rest of its squadron. The extra fuel pods landed in Turkey. Turksare pissed, but most probaby this is a show for the world, because Israel was probably authorized to fly through Turkish airspace at the request of the USA to attack the Syrian objective. The Syrians have kept their mouth shut, and for once, are wise for doing so.

Sounds like Uzi Commando laid out the full picture. Syrians were stating Israel bombed an open area, LOL! Whatever else, you know that one isn't true.

Interesting secretive intrigue all the way around, including no criticsm from Democrats.

Yes, Israel did bomb/attack the Syrian nuclear project.

She did so because Syria was supplying Iran with enriched uranium, and we all know what Iran plans to do with it...!

Syria is keeping remarkably quiet, and I think is the real proof that something was happening with their nuclear weapons project that shouldn't have been!

You will, I'm sure, all recall that in the 1980s, it was Israel that destroyed the Iraqui nuclear reactor at Osirik.

In hindsight, are we glad that Israel did this?

HELL YES!

Yep, Israel went into Syrias airspace, and according to some reports, dropped munitions on a roadway there. Reports are conflicting on the details, but you know the saying, 2 Jews, 3 opinions..

It seems Israel bombed some secret weapon site or factory; probably related to nuclear weapons

Allegedly Israeli planes flew over syrian airspace and were fired upon with anti-aircraft guns. However, the Israelis did not drop any bombs and many people think it was to warn Assad not to re-arm Hizbollah.

Ha'aretz reported that Israeli planes used missiles and attacked a possible nuclear installation in Syria, they violated syrian airspace. To deny this like some above have is ignorant.
