Robinson wins 8 rounds to Hagler's 7, with Hagler scoring a knockdown somewhere around the middle. That would total my score of this incredible fight at 142-142 - a tie! The fans and the press, due to the somewhat inconclusive result, clamour for a rematch between these two great warriors.

I'm gonna rock the boat here by saying Hagler would KO Robinson and pretty easily. I agree that Sugar Ray is one of the best ever but i rate Hagler as THE best ever and i just think the match up would be all wrong for Robinson he couldn't put Lamotta away in all the battles they had so he definitely couldn't stop Hagler who probably had the best chin boxing has ever seen. So therefore it would just be about Hagler being able to catch Sugar Ray and what i would say is that Sugar Ray got caught by lesser fighters than Marvelous Marvin Hagler.

Robinson wins by close unanimous decision in a war. Both men hit the deck at least once in this one but Sugar Ray edges out Hagler in overall boxing skill. I think this one would be a combination of Leonard vs Hagler and Hearns vs Hagler. This would be one of the greatest matches of all time. Too bad we all have to get old.

Marvin was a spectacular middleweight, but Sugar Ray Robinson would have out boxed Marvin. Hagler's relentless pressure, southpaw stance and non-stop agression would have made it the ultimate classic matchup, but as great as Hagler was, Sugar Ray Robinson was better.
Sugar Ray Robinson aka. (Walker Smith Jr.) by decision.

Robinson was great at middleweight, but I believe that Hagler was better and would win by decision and might even stop the great Ray Robinson late in the fight.
My top 5 middleweights: Hagler, Robinson, Hopkins, Monzon, Greb.

Robison would skate by with a razor and I do mean razor thin decision. Hagler was more of a pressure slugger while Robinson was a boxer/puncher and more techincally skilled in acurate punching in combinations.

robinson had power and reflexis oh hearns, speed, chin, explosiveness of leonard, slickness of benitez killer instinct. he was the total package. he always strained to make 147. he was around 5'11. hagler is my man but he would be outgunned in this one. robinson would bust him up and win tko on cuts rd 13.

It would probably be a close fight, but I think Marvin edges Ray.Ray was at his best at 147, though no slouch at 160, and I think Marvin was more of a force here, so I give him the edge.
