are you that quick to jump down someone's throat?
see my question, "why don't atheists have morals?" for further details.

it is ironic that you say that since you were one of those too bothered to read before responding.

clearly you did not even read the beginning of the question either since there was no scripture quotes in the entire post.
absolutely amazing.

i am beginning to think that either the entire yahoo! answers community is stupid or that i am an incoherent idiot. probably the latter.
stan, the question was very rhetorical and was actually the same type of question you attacked in your answer.
this is out of control! i am going insane!

Its the fault of how yahoo answers is designed. Posting move fast and by the time you get it read and typed, no one is going to see it.. So you read and skim...and really cant get much of an interactive argument going.. So what is left except to jump down your throat?
Yahoo had a good debate forum that they replaced with this ignorant thing. Im still trying to figure out what I can buy with my points and if nothing, then why do I keep doing this.

I love people who post like you do. Short, sweet, and easy to read. Most of us lose interest with the long, multi-paragraph rant and rave others use.
Many people are so sick and opinionated that they do not appreciate this forum as it was intended.
Biased questions make people angry, and some folks have a really short fuse. Many atheists may consider themselves moral people but they choose to not believe in God. I would be offended by such a question if I was an atheist.
Perhaps a better take would be "Why do so many atheists not have morals?" This excludes those that do, and is not perceived as offensive by the others.
Just my thoughts here, but your question is very good.
EDIT: Gee, I never thought I would be attacked for answering a question truthfully and honestly. Just goes to show you that sometimes you just cannot please anybody! Get a life.

Sometimes it's hard to get sarcasm or humour from reading a question or answer. You don't get the tone.
Although in this case I think you're right, people just didn't bother to read it all. It's happened to me plenty of times.
I also see by reading the answers to this question, some did not refer to your original question as you instructed either, so they still don't get it.

People don't care what other people think, or even a little about those other people and their wellness. Instead they want to get "points" on some make believe system like Yahoo Answers. (me too, 2 points for me)

I read the entire post. Most of it was incoherent ramblings. Sorry if I misinterpret ted your incoherent ramblings...
EDIT: If everyone reading the question didn't understand what you were trying to say, OBVIOUSLY it wasn't "entirely clear".

People just want to be the first to post
The closer your post is to the top of the list, the more people will read it. So a lot of people will post an answer quickly rather than put any thought behind it.

Many people either thumbs down or up as soon as they see the word Atheist or a bible passage.
Add> The irony is that even you stated that you didn't really have a question in the first place.

Well. When you put lots of questions in a post and go on and on and on and on I tend not to bother reading. In fact, I usually tend not to bother answering. But I would guess you would have better results by keeping your posts short. As they are SUPPOSED to be. It's supposed to be a question, not paragraphs.
