Honey its not that i'm against any religion...

I'm against christians is because they say God asked them to eat meat and want even the vegans to get converted and start eating meat.

I'm not against christians worshipping images...
I'm against they saying that image worship is wrong and absurd and idiotic but still continue to worship image.

I'm not against any religion until that religion starts targetting other religions and says it to be rubbish

It is not good to target a particular religion and its followers. In all religion Veg and non-Veg exist. Image worship in any religion is a primary stage try to go up where you will find only light and gradually a person reaches to God..

Lets see, all Christians do not worship Mary, that would be the Catholics, I am not sure how they believe, I am a born again Christian, saved by the blood of Jesus, I do not believe in idol worship and yes there is only one God. Catholics go into the worship of saints. We eat meat because God gave us animals to eat. I hope I have answered your question.
With love,
God Bless and have a wonderful day!

Catholics are the ones who "worship" Mary and the saints. I'm baptist and we have an image of the cross but we do not pray to its just to make the sanctuary look pretty. I don't really know why the Catholics do what they do but I don't worship any images.

The thing about eating animals. It's an animal they have no soul. Also God gave us dominion over the animals to do with what we want like eat them. But not only that but we've been doing this for our entire existence as humans. Also other animals eat each other so it would seem to be the natural thing to do.

You know it is a truism that a little knowledge is dangerous and this applies to your post, Protestants do not use Statues as we Catholics do, having said this we Do not worship images or the Blessed Virgin.
People like yourself really need to come away from ignorance of the facts before insulting Christians.
Even though it will make little difference to your views on this I will state the true facts for you, no Catholic can place Mary either above or on the same worship level as God, this would be heretical, we do however have special devotion to Her as the Mother of our Savior and the new Eve who is also Mother of all humanity.
Let me ask you this, do you carry or sometimes look at a photograph of someone you truly love? then why do you do this? simply to recall to your heart and mind that person, this is the same reason for statues etc, among Catholics.

The majority of Christians do make, use and venerate images of Jesus and His Saints, but they do not worship them or think that the image houses the spirit of the honored person.

Exodus 25 commanded the making of religious statues(of angels,in particular) and the honoring of these images.

As Christians who believe in the Incarnation of God in Christ and in Jesus ' Resurrection, Cath and Orth Christians believe that to ban images of Christ and the saints is to deny the fullness of the incarnation of God as Jesus and to deny His full humanity in some sense since having a body that can be depicted denies His humanity and that of the saints.

Venerating images is also a way of affirming the basic goodness of materiality and of creation and that Jesus became flesh and materiality.

No Christian Catholic or Orthodox can worship Mary or other saints.
Adoring anyone other than the one God is strongly condemned by the Catholic and Orthodox Churches and is considered a grievously sinful act.

Catholic and Orthodox Christians ask Mary and other saints to pray with and for them through the One Mediator Jesus Christ,Who alone is Incarnate God-true God and true man, to God the Father In God the Spirit (the Trinity is the absolutely One and Undivided God) since they believe that those who are physically dead are conscious and able to pray to God..
Cath and Orth Christians also ask other mortal Christians to pray for and with them. Both the living and the dead who are in God's Grace are united as members of the Body of Christ, the Church that is not separated by time, space or death.

Also, there are many Protestant Christians who do not make figual images of Christ and the saints and they do not invoke saints who have passed on to God. There are also Protestant Christians who do make and use images(like Lutherans) and those who invoke saints(some Anglicans)

I don't care if you worship the cow, the rat ,or the moon .Get your facts right, you are as ignorant as some of the Protestants here .We don't worship Mary. And we don't worship idols. If you worship them(idols) I got no problem with that.If you are ashamed of your idols you have a problem, not me.
It does appear that some Non-Catholic Christians do not know why they are on the other side though.

Only some are against image worship. (If Worship is even the correct term, because true worship goes to the idea behind an image, not the material components)

We don’t worship saints and we don’t worship Mary. We have statues and images the same as you have pictures of your family and loved ones. No difference.

As far as eating meat, there’s nothing wrong with it. If you choose to be a vegetarian, that’s fine, too. I happen to like thick juicy steaks on occasion, sometimes medium-well. Mmmm.

Cathoolics are not worshipping images, they're worshipping wehat they represent. Also, in my opinion, Christianity must not be divided into Born Again, Catholicism, Adventists, and such. We should all join together and worship the Almighty Lord. (Just to let you know, I'm NOT a pastor or priest, and i have no idea where those crazy, yet sane, words came from)

We don't worship images or idols.

We worship & believe in only one God.

The images of saints are like photographs of your loved ones or inspirational posters or whatever you put on your walls at home to reflect your personal philosophy, inspire you to do great things or whatever. So, if an atheist puts up a poster of John Lennon in his home, it doesn't mean he worships John Lennon. It may mean he likes John Lennon's music or philosophy, but it's not worship.

We don't worship Mary, either. We honor and respect her and we try to emulate her because she was perfectly obedient to God's will, but it's not worship.

Consider the word "love" in the English language. A person can say, "I love my spouse, I love my kids, I love my dad, I love the Yankees and I love fried chicken."

But the WAY they love their spouse isn't the same way they love the Yankees, and the WAY they love their kids isn't the same way they love fried chicken. They are using the same word -- love -- in very different ways. You automatically know that they're using a different form of love in each circumstance because you speak English and you use the word in the same sort of way. But a person from another culture who is just learning English might be very confused.

And that's what's happening when you see someone honor Mary. It may look to you like they worshiping her, but they aren't. It's different.
