Last night I dreamt I was marrying the boss' son. We weren't married yet, I was just in the final stages of planning and it was to be within a week or so. There's several things wrong with this. One, I'm already married in real life. Two, my boss doesn't have a son, only two daughters. Three, there's no way in hell I would marry my boss' son because my boss can be scary sometimes. Please let me know what this means.

No, my boss hasn't assigned me a new project but I did step down from my former position because it was taking me away from my family and my new position is as an assistant, which I like better but it's a little demeaning

Your boss' son refers to his "children" at work, such as projects, problems, etc.
You both share this "child" through your job. As the dream refers to a son, it probably refers to you having to act more masculine (more logical and tough) at work.
You need to decide how you want to deal with this.

Has your boss assigned you a project which is taking alot of time from your family? Is the deadline of the project approaching?
Eidt: thanks for the additional details, in your dream, what was your boss' attitude toward you marrying his son, was he welcoming? Angry? Ready to have a new daughter? Ready to dis-own a son?
Perhaps you're just working out the feelings that prompted you to step down to a job with less responsibility, even though you have a new position that makes fewer demands on you, when you have been in a situation like that, you are used to feeling a certain way about your job, and it may take a little time to unwind and relax a bit more now that you don't have as big a commitment...

Your dream is only about the frustration you feel towards the new job you took because you wanted to spend more time with your family. Your "future husband" is nothing more than you, seeing your boss as your father AND father-in-law.....you want to keep everyone happy.
Relax everything will be fine.

Dreams do not necessarily mean anything.
You might want to spend more time thinking about why you would spend time and effort trying to analyze a dream involving the son your boss doesn't have about your boss.
If anything, you might have too much time on your hands to reflect on meaningless dreams. Or maybe you are interested in your boss and looking for someone to agree with you.
