What else are they going to say?
Christian1: Atheists can be moral, happy people just like us.
Christian2: So they don't need god to be happy? They don't need the bible for moral instruction?
Christian1: Nope.
Christian2: So why do we need those things?
Christian1: To get into heaven.
Christian2: Do atheists get into heaven?
Christian1: No, they burn in hell forever.
Christian2: So god punishes people in hell even if they live good lives?
Christian1: Yeah, that's the rules

Hello. I have seen that a lot of misguided replies have come your way. I want you to understand the truth. A true believer does not say that the person who holds a diverse belief is evil. God doesn't need people to bash others just on the basis of belief. God is love. God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit are one in love. God loves you. God loves all people. God hates sin. He is holy and cannot dwell with sin. This is why Jesus died, so that sin could be covered by His sacrifice. Now, I'm not going to tell you that you can just deny the fact that God is and receive the benefits of an abundant life because you can't. I must tell you the truth because it is the only thing that will make you free. God doesn't hate you. True believers don't hate you. We love you. I submit to you this as well. If you believe there is no God, then pray or talk to Him. Ask Him if He is there and see if you get an answer.

If anyone believes that atheists are evil it is generally because that is what they have been taught by their belief system and not because they know and mix with atheists. Were they to do so, they would change their minds.
Ignorance is dangerous.
Note to Allan C:
I repeat my last line - Ignorance is dangerous. You would appear to be ignorant but maybe because you are still a teenager? If so, we give some leeway.

Many believers do not understand atheists and many atheists don't understand believers, and where there is no understanding there is fear. Thnk about it. Why are you nervous on the first date? Because you don't really know the person and know what to expect. Why are you fearful when you have to go to a new school for the first time. You don't know and understand how things will go.
Many believers have never been atheists so they don't know what they are like so they fear them. That's all.

Most Christians and other believers I know do not believe an atheist is evil but that one is evil because a person-atheist, Christian,Muslim,etc-does evil deeds and lives out evil attitudes.
We believe that atheism is false and much evil has been and is being done in the name of atheism and by atheistic powers .
Much evil has been done and is still done (as in Jihadist murders) in the name of many religions and religiously-labeled powers but those actions are contrary to the basic ethics of all the 'high religions" while atheism cannot have an objective moral law since there is no transcendent accountability or ultimate moral truth. There is no real atheistic argument against 'might makes right' while there are many religious ones against such a slogan, even though religious fanatics and manipulators have done much evil in their power struggles and quests for domination.
I respect everyone's right to choose to be an atheist or believer or neither but I find atheism illogical, impractical, mathematically impossible, negative and unattractive IMHO.
One does not have to believe in the existence of a devil to live like one.
Have a happy day and fulfilling and just life.

I don't think your evil, and I don't think that you will rot in hell for your beliefs. But it's quite harsh to rule out the possibility of a higher power all together. Maybe not God but a source that holds us and the world around us altogether.

Because Ignorance is the root of all evil.
Unfortunately many people choose to remain ignorant rather than to inform themselves and learn about other people, places, cultures and beliefs, and that is where evil becomes Evil. I suppose that choice is fear of having their own beliefs challenged, more than anything else...

Because most believers have false ideas as to what an Atheist is. While others are conditioned to judge Atheists in a negative manner simply because they have chosen to not believe in god.

I'm an atheist as well, I'm convinced that the mentality of any group tends to lead to "Either you're with me, or you're my enemy." This is why athiest groups (such as the IAM) support individual thought and not a collective thought.

This is a theme song for many Christians, and it explains the reason(s).
The B I B L E, yes, that's the book for me.
I stand alone on the word of g-d
The B I B L E
The Bible says that all unbelievers are heathens, pagans, and evil... since you are not a believer and the Bible can't be untrue, you must be heathen, pagan, and evil.
