You can't really expect cheap toilet paper to have the same quality as the more expensive types.

Haha you answered your own question. It's cheap because paper is paper. Making it thinner and charging less produces same profit margins. They would make the same profit on cheap thin then expensive thick. They just have the cheap crap available for people who either are poorer, or prefer thin *** whipe

Cheap toilet paper is a false economy. You end up using more of it to avoid the dreaded finger penetration.

So that you have to use more of it and therefore the toilet paper manufacturers make just as much money out of you whilst giving you the illusion they are saving you money.

For those who think they are saving money by buying 1 ply instead of 2 ply. Actually you just use more of the 1 ply because it's so thin.

Because it is CHEAP, that's why! You do get what you pay for in the toilet paper department. No frills, cheap to make.

The thiner the paper the less materials to make it... and hence keeps the cost down.

I guess you get what you pay for... just remember to wash your hands afterwards !

Thats the really cheap one, where its loosely rolled on. In Sainsburys I get 4 rolls for 40p, and its not that bad..
