If you consider getting another dog, you ought to visit the rescue leagues that have adoption events at local pet stores (weekends). You can bring your dog there, and see if she seems to take a liking to any of the dogs they have up for adoption. Then, if you decide you would like to try one of them, the leagues usually allow you to try it out, to see if it works. This would give you a chance to see if your dog would get along with the new dog. Make sure they will offer this option, and then see what you can find.

If your German ShepHerd was living with another dog she may enjoy a dog friend or may not. Females often fight more than males so why not try a German Shepherd Rescue for a n/male?

German Shepherd breed has a very friendly nature and she may, despite her age, accept another dog as a friend.

yes i think your gsd will except another dog but dont get a puppy as it may be too much for her if i was you i would contact a gsd rescue centre and see if they have a neutered male roughly the same age that needs rehoming be warned though rescue dogs take time to settle.

good luck

Its too personal of the dog , i guess she is too old to adjust to a new companion .
