Hire a stately home with an original fire large enough to spit roast an ox. Employ enough wenches to turn the spit and baste the horse with olive oil.
I'm sure you can get horse entrecôtes in the UK, but if you can't, pop over to Calais. Horse steaks are cooked the same way as beef steaks, but are much healthier.
The French also eat lamb. Spike a gigot (leg of lamb) with slices of garlic and sprigs of rosemary.
With all the wet weather you've had in the UK this summer, you could start the meal with snails. Collect the largest you can find, put them in a bed of oatmeal for a few days so that they purge themselves and boil them briefly. Serve in their shells with garlic butter.

the classic french dish "cheval" you need 1 side of horse which can be obtained from any good dog food factory (just remember to scrape the maggots off first) some red wine cheese and chalots sugar and a clove of garlic. cut the flanks into fillets pan fry in olive oil until medium rare add the chalots and garlic then fry off for another minute set it aside to let it rest, now for the sauce, deglaze the pan with some butter add the wine about half a bottle add 2 spoonfuls of sugar let the sauce reduce and place the fillets back in. cook for another 3 minutes and then serve with a crusty loaf and some cheese. voila! bon appitit.

Horse meat and beef are cut exactly the same.
You can get T-bones from horse meat as you can get fillet or rump or sirloins.
So you also cook it the same way.
Usually grilled for the more expencive cuts and stew for the rest.
I like to BBQ it on open charcoal, but if that is not your style, just grill as you would beef cuts

I've eaten it often in France and in Italy. You can get just about any cut you can get from a cow, bull, moose, dear, bison and other big creatures you eat. Horse meat is better for you than beef by the way - it's leaner and has more iron.
The French eat it ground and raw... see below.

Look in the dog food section of Asda, then buy a packet of shortcrust pastry, french fries, vegetables and some French mustard.
Alternatively make Horse Pie surprise, the surprise being that there isn't any horse in it.

Considering France is the only place you would get horse meat, as was shown on 'The F Word', and Janet Street Porter did the piece on horse meat, I would suggest you find something else to serve. BTW wrongjon, that was hilarious!

First of all, don't eat horse chestnuts, they are toxic.
The biggest challenge is finding a retailer that stocks horse. Otherwise cook it like you would beef, pork or lamb.
