And I don't mean spam...

Tins of steak.
Tins of stew.
Tins of hotpot.
Tins of chilli.

Urgh. It turns my stomach to see people buy this stuff. No wonder we're all fat, unhealthy and diabetic.

Buy some real meat.

bahbdorje, you clearly don't know anything about cooking meat. That tinned is quicker is a baseless excuse for being lazy.

A fresh tasty medium-cooked steak in 6 minutes beats some heated up salt-and-sugar-overloaded processed crap in 15.

A splash of balsamic vinegar and paprika on that sucker. Tastes good, good for you, not any slower than your Princes Stewed Steak.

With the exception of tomatoes and some fish, I don't know how anyone can enjoy tinned food, especially meat.
I suppose it's handy to have a couple of tins in case of emergencies, there's too many additives for every day use.
Not all real meat is healthy.
People are usually overweight because they eat more than they need, not because of what they eat.

Fresh meat is far better I agree, but some people who can't get to the shops regularly like old people will keep tinned meat for handiness. It has a long sell by date which is ideal for them. The taste is not as good as fresh though.

If you eat it everyday, then yes. But sometimes I really enjoy tinned chili, and I only eat it on a hot dog (another fattening choice, and not those crap ones from a tin either) Anything in moderation is okay. If you eat tinned steak and stew, etc. everyday, then sure it is bad for you.

Much easier to cook in much less time.

How about tins of puke? Hope your stomach does a few more flipps.
I love canned (tinned) roast beef, poured right in the frying pan. Sizzles up to delisious in minuets.
