Friend, If I didn't know him I would be an atheist.

What a silly premise, If I deny what I know I am somehow more open minded.

I used to think I was a Christian, and an intensely zealous one at that. But when in my late 20s, I discovered that I was not. This horrendous shock was mitigated by the Bible suddenly 'opening up' to me in a fresh way, and meeting bona fide Christians who helped me to saving faith in God. It took 2 years of intense study and soul searching and was the most unsettling period in my life. But God's hand was on it all and 2 years later I was baptized as a Christian. From this traumatic experience I have learned the need to be humble and to admit that I might be wrong. This opens me up to considering other points of view with a view to learning. If ever I learn (via positive proof) that God does not exist, I will admit that. (But don't hold your breath waiting for such an admission... no evidence has appeared these last 30 years!)

I too am an Atheist and I feel that I might be wrong about the Gods. Who is more close-minded now?

An Atheist can accept that they are wrong a Christian can't.

No. I cant. Not because ive never contemplated it. but because I know for a fact that there is a God.

I didnt always have faith in my life. Heck I didnt know whether there was a God. but I studied religion and realized if there was an all powerful being and these scriptures are true that we can ask and receive. That it would be wise to find out for myself.

You see once you have the Holy Spirit open your eyes and you hear the voice of God, as an honest person you cannot deny He exists.

I know God lives. I know Jesus is His Son. Ive learned this all for myself. So no, I am not going to accept that I might be wrong because to do so I would have to tell God I dont believe Him when He speaks directly to me. And who am I to deny the power of God? If i did such a thing, God wouldnt have to condemn me. I would condemn myself.

What's great is you don't have to take my word for it. You can find out for yourself.

I can accept people for who they are as God does. If you are an athiest, then I am a Catholic. People are created equal in mine and God's Eyes.

How could we accept that we could be wrong when even you as an atheist think we might be right? †

yes, absolutely.

We all ought to be unsure about the existence of our Creator. The only difference is whether we see the worth of seeking Him. Even not knowing if He exists, we are simultaneously attracted and repelled. We are attracted because of the possibility of finding immense love and we are repelled because of the possibility of finding an authority over us.

We choose our path, one saying I'm seeking Him unless it is proven He cannot exist and the other saying I'm not seeking Him unless it is proven He does exist.

I don't know. I've seen a healing miracle so I doubt you can sway me on the existence of a supernatural being.

No. I don't believe there is a God. I KNOW there is a God because I have felt the Holy Spirit.

Oh there is! You just have to look within. Question everything you learn because all isn't what it seems and the so called experts know just as much as you and I.
