To me its commitment...its the unspoken agreement for me to never look at other girls in a sexual way, to not flirt with girls other than her, to not think about girls other than her.......
its me agreeing to be with her through the good, the bad, and the great times whether i like it or not.

Interesting term for it. But I do have to say that dating means really getting to know yourself. I know it sounds very selfish from that angle. But when you think about it, when you go into a relationship, you are generally looking for someone to complete you or complement you. Not only that you learn with each person what really matters to you and where you wish to go with your life. Who you wish to have with you by your side as you are going through such things.
So yea I say dating means to me, is being selfish. It means I want to go out with someone and discover new parts of myself. Like maybe this person can pull out my like for karoke(would take a true someone special to get that to happen), or maybe someone that will show me how to do orgami or other intersting hobbies that I didn't know I would like. I mean I know alot people will say that relationships are all about falling in love and finding potential mates for marriage. Well it is in a way. But until you find ways or someone that helps you discover ways to better and enrich your own life, I say you haven't truly given dating its full due, if you are only looking at the end result. I mean sure its great to get married one day. But as we see people marry anyone that comes along. For me I want to date many people til I find the right one to enrich my soul and make me grow as a person. I mean I'm starting to love myself in whole new ways (not just self pleasure, lol). But from the inside out. I'm still in a bit of denial about things but I'm growing everyday. I want someone on that journey with me. And all I can hope for at the end of the day is that I have helped enrich the person I am with as well. Because as I said to me dating as whole is one selfish experience. But its one of the most beautiful, torrid and wildly colorful experiences you could ever have on the journey of getting to know yourself and when you find that right person and get to know them too its even better. That is when real commitment and faithfulness fall into play for me. When two free spirits can share and give to each other and help one another grow and achieve so many things on so many levels its just beyond precious and worthy of calling someone my "partner, my soulmate, my heart(if you wish to go that deep)" But until we reach that plateau of a level within us or within our lives period, we won't be able to truly value a real and true relationship for what it is. And it is a spiritual bonding. So much more than the physical could ever touch.
P.S. Take a plunge into a pool of your own self worth, and you will find a deeper enrichment than you ever known.
