I think the men would say yes and the women would say no...just because men are from mars and women are from venus. And I "think" that's the way the responses went. So choosing the best answer is difficult.

ABSOLUTLY YES....bad idea...because girls will consider you a safe zone. meanign you wont try to ruin the friendship by taking it further....gay...but it happens alot

No. "Friends first" is not the kiss of death. If you plan to have a long term relationship with a person, then you need more than sexual attraction.
However, a couple different things can be going on when a male and female are "just" friends. The guy will worry because the girl who he is interested in is dating another guy. However, if you remain her friend and confidant, she will turn to you with questions and concerns about the relationship with this other guy and she might find that you are more supportive and caring.
At some point, you need to tell her "I really enjoy our friendship but I want to start dating so we can see if this can go to another level". If she isn't interested, then you gave it a shot and won't regret not trying.

It is definately wrong to be friends first, believe me, then thy wouyldn't want to "ruin the friendship with you" Rule: If you do not kiss the girl after the first two dates, you have a new "for ever and ever" friend... Sad, but that's how it is... Try being friends with her best (female) friend...

NO ITS NOT BECAUSE IF YOU'RE FRIENDS FISRT YOU GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER MORE AND THEN YOU CAN SEE IF YOU LIKE THAT PERSON OR NOT. YOU WILL THEN KNOW IF YOU'LL BE ABLE TO HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP OR NOT. YOU DONT STILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER BECAUSE IF YOU'RE FRIENDS FIRST YOU'LL KNOW EACH OTHER VERY WELL ALREADY. I THINK ITS GOOD TO BE FRIENDS FIRST, IF IT DOESNT WORK OUT THEN YOU CAN JUST GO BACK TO BEING GOOD FRIENDS

I think it is necessary. You cant just jump into a relationship without knowing the person. At least i dont think you can.

relationships based on a friendship never work.....if you have that kind of situation,dont do it(if its not already late) because once when you are with your friend you have to know that you are loosing one friend and its never going to be the same,whatever they say......and its not so fun when you know everything about him...
