Is it better to eat before or after going to the gym... my schedule is kinda weird I work at nights and on my days off I go to the gym. But my eating schedule is all weird so I don't end up eating at the same time, esp. on my days off. Hence I never know what is better. If I know atleast I can force myself to eat either before or after working out.

it all depends on when your last meal was. if you ate lunch at 2 and plan on going to the gym when you get off work at 6 that's far too long between meals. you could have a protein shake or bar before going to the gym.

you should eat every 3-4 hours for many, many reasons

It is best to eat before going to the gym, but make sure it's atleast 2 hours ahead. If you get hungry before you get to the gym drink water, it fills you up and drinking water can increase your metabolism by 3%.

Protien bars on the way to gym are a great way to boost your workout and you won't be hungry. I like protien shakes after a workout too!

If you are hungry eat a banana, and something wtih protien in it, something light, at least 30 minutes before you work out.

I love balance Bars, they are tastey and keep my hunger down. it's a little mini meal in your pocket for every 2 hours to keep you going. 220 calories of good for you nutrition!

Keep hydrated, drink lots of water!

I prefer not to work out on a full stomach. Perhaps you could have a light snack before, and something more afterwards if you're still hungry.

Eat a little before the workout so you have the strength to do it, and eat afterward to replenish. It doesn't have to be a big meal, just something.

do not eat....instead take a power drink and wait til you are finished with gym then, eat.....good luck
