Hey Not-so-Lonely:
You are responding to the wrong girls. There are girls that think boys in the Scouts are interesting. These girls are quiet and perhaps shy. The girls you are thinking of are the pep squad or the pretentious artsy girls that thrive on the attention of others. If they can get attention by dissing others, they do so. Look for the girls that don't hang with the posers. These are the real gems.
Here's something to ponder; when the tragedy at Columbine happened, it was the Boy Scouters in the school that administered first aid to the victims; not the football players, and certainly not the cheerleaders. One Eagle Scout was so concerned for his teacher that the SWAT cop had to force him to evacuate.

I LOVE BOY SCOUTS!
Why? because I love guys in uniform.
I'm not sure why girls would think boy scouts are dorky.. probably for the same reason they don't like nerds. that's just for the airhead girls who are into popular boys, though. smarter girls would know that a guy who could save lives or survive in the woods is a LOT more valuable than a wannabe-thug. Anyway, in my experience, 13-year-old girls don't really know much, so don't worry about them, buddy =)

not too all girls... lots of flash out there and they are still immature in selection of mates... stay in scouting till you get your eagle and injoy the time you get to be outdoors etc..
