If your vitamins is only once a day, you can take it anytime within the day. Your preference depends on your personal choice. But for best result, take it in the morning so that your body can utilized your resistance as you do your activity during daytime. At night, usually we don't have any activity except for sleeping, so our body is at rest. If you are working in a night shift, then you can take it after your dinner.

I take my supplement in the morning and evening, but if they are to be taken only once a day, morning.

If you are taking a vitamin and mineral in separate tablets I would take the vitamin in the morning for energy and the mineral in the evening to help with your sleep (minerals are our bodies natural sleeping pill)

You should take them in the morning because if you take them at night your body will not metabolize all of them and so you will essentially waste your vitamin

If you're only going to take them once a day, take them with a good breakfast. If you don't eat breakfast (tsk, tsk), then be sure to take them with a glass of milk or a piece of toast or something that will keep them from causing nausea, or aftertaste. If you always take them the same time of day, chances are you won't forget to take them.
