I do not own any dog books, but I have always owned and trained my dogs. My current do I adopted right after hurricane Katrina. She was born the day after the storm and I brought her home at 4 weeks. She is part Rottweiler (Mother) and part Cocker spanial (dad). I began by training her to go outside each morning to go to the bathroom. IT took about 2 weeks and she began running to the door when I would get up in the morning. She can sit, shake hands, lay down, and roll over. She barks if she hears a noise outside in the yard but will be quite when i tell her quite. She will not bark at other dogs or people around the yard. I did all this with no books, just time, love, and a few doggie treats.

I own only one, but I would like to own more. It's called "Water Dog" by Richard Wolters (and yes that is the correct spelling of his name.)

His methods are humane and they are effective. I had a 9 year old dog that had nothing but unused instincts for experience to hunt using his methods.

He also has many other books- for instance "Home Dog" and "Family Dog".

I don't even own a dog now but one day I will again and when I do.....

Check it out on Amazon. You'll be glad you did :)

If he's no longer in to dogs, you're doing advantageous. Why purchase him a e book that he ought to no longer examine. It additionally relies upon on how long you have been in this relationship. I continuously stated, dogs are like infants. you will desire to newborn evidence a house, potty practice them, can no longer have the two father and mom correcting the newborn on the comparable time, correcting with praises or treats, think of approximately it. All different than the urine killing the grass.

I own many different books about different breeds. I work for the Humane Society of Hamilton County. I have books on staffy's, rotts, huskies, German shepherds, keeshonds, collies (border, and bearded) Labs, goldies, and boxers. I am going to get more.

I take one book to work with me, it's called the Perfect Match by Chris Walkowicz. That way when someone asks about a certain breed, I will have basic info to give them.
