I'm writing a research paper about the two opposing sides of global warming. I'm having trouble finding articles/ books/ movies/ etc. that provide evidence against it. Can anyone help me out? and I'm writing a research paper so I need enough of BOTH sides, so please don't comment about which side is better or try to convince me of anything. I just need help finding articles. I'm not good with search engines...

THANK YOU in advance- you're really helping!!!

About the best site around for scientifically credible counter arguments (and they are not really counter arguments, they're more like problems in the consensus approach to understanding the effects of climate change), is the website run by Roger Pielke Sr. at Colorado State University:

http://climatesci.colorado.edu/

His son's website (Roger Pielke jr.) is more policy oriented, but the apple didn't fall far from the tree so it has a lot of not really contrarian views but not ga-ga in support of the IPCC conclusions either.

Most of the other "science" contrarian sites are wingnut-ish (e.g., the one run by the Idso's in Arizona) and anything associated with Tim Ball.

Probably one of the most vocal atmospheric scientists against AGW, with good credentials, would be Richard S. Lindzen, you will just have to search, there are many documents out there, here is a slide show with some of his counter points:

Here is additional inflammatory material for your paper.

Henrik Svensmark is a phycists studying the effects of cosmic rays on cloud formation whos work is acknowledged in the IPCC report as a possible contribution to climatic forcing.

Get tis book.

Cool It: The Skeptical Environmentalist's Guide to Global
Warming by Bjorn Lomborg (Knopf)

This link will give you and idea of what to expect. Real eye opener compared the crazed fear mongering that radical environmentalists usually engage in. Bjorn acknowledges its warming but debunks bad data and erroneous assumptions.

There really is no other side.

There is no evidence against it.

I don't know how else to say it..lol

There is always going to be small groups of people who don't believe something even though it's a proven fact, that doesn't make it an opposing side though.

That's probably why you can't find it. However , I think a couple years ago republicans tried to claim it didn't exist so there might be some outdated stuff. But outdated information probably isn't good.

AGREE STRONGLY: NOBODY IN SCIENCE IS GOING TO ARGUE AGAINST THE FACT THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS INDEED HAPPENING. ONLY LYING POLITICIANS ARE GOING TO TRY TO MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID FOR WORRYING ABOUT IT.

TRY SEEING A GOOD LIBRARIAN TO HELP YOU SEARCH FOR LYING BLOGS QUOTING THE POLITICIANS.
