It seems there's a lot of disputes among the Christians, the Jewish, and the Moslems about who's God is better; or even worse, who's God is the true One.
LOVE your enemy, Jesus said. This words means to me, that we do NOT have any enemy anymore, for how can you make an enemy of someone you love?
There's not only one color in this world, but many. Yet they are just facets of One embracing all color; WHITE.
God was never meant for us to fight the differences, but to celebrate it; to learn from a beautiful rainbow.

Like the bee gathering honey from the different flowers, the wise person accepts the essence of the different scriptures and sees only the good in all religions.

Yes, tolerance... and as you said, Jesus preached tolerance. Love one another. It's the only way.
But people need to change to become tolerant... and that is from the Original Gospel (Sermon on the Mount) that is overlooked these days. Unless we change, there can be no perfect world as you are hoping for. The key is in that Original Gospel, not the Pauline Gospel we hear these day. The Pauline Gospel does not accept that all people are Children of God as does the Story of the Prodigal Son from the Original Gospel.
But that is the solution... return to the Original Gospel.

You miss the point totally. These religions are all mutually exclusive meaning that only one can be right, or all are wrong. But either way they can't all be right at the same time. Also if you love your enemy, then he is still your enemy. You can love and give respect to your enemy and still be enemies. You seem to associate an enemy with hatred. It doesn't have to be so. But they can still be an enemy. God wants us to follow truth. There is only one brand of truth with no shades of grey, no rainbow of beautiful differences. God is either perfect and has revealed himself perfectly, and we humans have stuffed it bad, or he has stuffed it bad and isn't worth following. However I believe He has revealed himself perfectly and we need to find that truth.
I am a Christian, but you need to figure out what the truth is. I'll leave it at that. God bless.

When in history has this been possible? Ask yourself, when?
And why now? What makes us so different? What has changed in humankind that suddenly they've become passive, all of us? When has everyone agreed upon a majority of things?
Do you see a pattern here. We are not enlightened beyond the kind of people that lived 2000 years ago. The only thing that changed is the Christ came, and He said that God only wants who He wants, and doesn't want the rest of us. His Spirit came to some of us, and we know that man cannot do it on his own, because of flaws which we are born with.
So please, nice intent, but always ending up in failure. It always has.

It's a lovely idea, but I think there are too many insecure, unhappy people in the world. I think so much of the world's problems could be solved if everyone was more secure in themselves, then we wouldn't have this inclination to judge or hate that we don't understand.

The problem with this is you are christian, they are {insert religion}. JESUS may have said love your enemy, but what about their god? Of course there is going to be disputes, this is the very nature of religion. This is something that can't be helped. And one good reason why all religions should be wiped off the earth.

In order to come closer to harmony, we will have to search for and celebrate our 'similarities', rather than our differences.
To celebrate gay pride, black pride, irish pride, jewish pride, etc. is to imply that your 'difference' somehow makes you better than others.
I don't feel compelled to celebrate diversity. It is not the same thing as being tolerant.
Be well.

Try put a mormon, a JW, a catholic & a protestant locked in a room for 8 hours first. If they can agree not to fight over their own religion, then we have a chance to live your vision.

I'm Christian, and at church they always say that our religion is the only true religion. They want others to convert to Christianity, so we can fully "celebrate" the differences.

Which world have YOU been living in? That hasn't been possible in at least six thousand years. And you think today's people are going to change it?
