I find the gradual steps and synchronisity amazing on your way to a God or Goddess. Kwan Yin came to me and I found her after a very tragic and life shattering event. She is my souls anchor and guide. She is also a wonderful role model! PAX

Some make an active choice or decision to follow a specific Godess and/or God. Others are actually chosen by the particular deities involved. Mine chose ME rather than the other way around.

My totem chose me. I was driving to work and got caught in a sudden blizzard and could not see where I was going. An owl appeared in my headlights and floated through the trees. I followed it until I descended the mountain below the cloud bank and could see the road. My totem is the Snowy Owl.

i become somewhat chosen with the aid of them, in basic terms like all different posters above. looking back, I understand now that I quite have by some potential constantly been a pagan. Some definitely chose me, others I felt a kinship with. In some cases, only certain energies would do.

a bit of both i think.
the first one definately chose me. he came to me in a time of need and taught me some things that i needed to survive at that time.
some of the others i have read about and read the ancient tales fo and decided that they could help me on my spiritual path..so i chose them..
and on that path i found a few that offered help. so i would say that they have chosen me.

It felt more like they called on me. I certainly didn't chose them. It was all very gradual.
