The major catastrophe of the evening, the cleaning lady was here today. My son has a Noah's ark with five animals for his bath (he is four) and the lion was missing. Mid bath he came out frantically wanting his "Line" (I dis need my line...)
It took me a long time to figure out what a "line" was. "What do you mean a line?" He finally showed me his ark and I realized his "lion" was missing from the bunch. I had to call cleaning lady after looking for five minutes. Found it. Bath continued, added more warm water. Phew. Ever happen to you? Touchy, touchy.

My daughter is the female version of Linus from the Peanuts. Her blanket (her "wanky") goes everywhere with her. When she was very young, I went and bought a second identical blanket. The only problem, is now she knows that she has 2 wankies and wants them both. We left one at grandma's once... you would have thought it was the end of the world. It ended up with a trip back to grandma's to rescue her wanky. Now, she is too smart to be tricked with a replacement. She recently started carrying a small stuffed elephant with her. The thing is 4 inches long... what a pain when she misplaces it.
The joys of parenthood!!

Yep. All the time. We couldn't leave the house until she had the right doll with her. She would get upset if someone rearranged her toys and she couldn't find a specific toy out of the hundreds she has. As for the speech part, my daughter says "mine" and "more" basically the same way. So, sometimes, she'll be holding something and I think she's telling me that it is hers because she is saying "mine," but some times it's her juice cup and she wants more.

oh my goodness, yes! my daughter had a stuffed dog that was the "center of her universe"! my husband was a car salesman at the time and my daughter accidentally left it in his demo on a trip. it was missing for two weeks!!!!!!! we were miserable. a customer buys the car and comes in the next day holding the dog and says, "i'll bet someone is missing this guy." my husband said, "you have no idea!" and suddenly the world was right again. lol. :)

YES. It has...only "I" was the 4 yr old...laughing. It was a purple rabbit.."Mr. Jones..." Oh yeah. I was getting ready for bed and was frantic looking for him. After searching the entire house it turned out that my younger brother had put "Mr. Jones" in charge of guarding my bicycle in the garage because my older brother's bike had gotten stolen.
