So yeah, I've got a pretty good idea what the general answers are going to look like, but what are the thoughts on a 23 year old guy and a 19 year old girl.

I mean 4 years isn't that big of an age gap is it?

She's starting her sophomore year in college, I'm out and working full time/starting grad school within a year.

not at that age, you're evening out already. I say you're fine. no offense, but especially since you're the older one-- since guys do tend to mature later in life. but both of you are already past all that. you're both kind of at the same stage in your life-- starting "the real thing."

good luck. :)

What gap? Many couples are separated by 10 years. The way I look at it is 21 and 16 is wrong at the age of 25, 31 is fine. My son is 24 and he is dating a great 19 year old gal. It also depend on if she is mature?

Its not too big fo a deal as long as you treat her right and realize that although you make like her she still has a little growin and maturin to do and if you really care for her u will grow with her this comin from a 19 yr old plus if she's datin u she prolly thinks u r EXTREMELY sexy that jus my point of view thats the only way I would have went out with an older guy so live it up have fun and know that she considers herself and adult so dont catch urself treatin her like she's 19 lol

Personally, I don't see a problem with that. You both are at the same point of life. She's starting off life on her own, and you're still working on building it up.

It's not like she's in high school. Unless... she is. Which would be extremely awkward.... because, you know... she's like... 19... in high school... WEIRD!

Sounds like just the right age difference.

No it's not a problem, it would be if she was under 18 then that would be a very big problem, so be happy and show her how much you love her.

No, but 19 is still very young.

That cannot even be classified as an age gap.

My hubby and I are 4 yrs apart, and now that we are older, it makes absolutely no difference at all.
Provided you let her family know your intentions are genuine - are they?- I can't see a problem with it.
