my boyfriend always says girls flirt with him and say he's hot and ex g/f's want him back again..
Like he knows i get jealous but when he says it i'm just like o yea they think ur sexy...But he says things like this almost everyday and i just get quiet and he's like it's ok i don't like them and only want u but then why would he just keep saying these things and telling me all that stuff

i don't think he's insecure. and i tell him he's great and hot.. he always says he's hot so i think he's confident enough. i have brought other guys up and he gets mad jealous and mad quiet like i hate doing it so i dont anymore

He is showing a lack of confidence trough his bravado. He is searching for reaffirmation that he is indeed, attractive and desired. In his boasting confidence, it sounds like he doubts himself, and is actually looking for reassurance that he is attractive. Beware this one. This behaviour is self centered... he has no clue how it is making you feel. He is being arrogant in an effort fill a void in his confidence. His trustworthiness should be doubted.
The reason I say this.. is that he is out looking.. he is actively seeking instances that, whether real or imagined, help reassure him that he is attractive. And when a girl he finds more attractive than you, gives him feedback, rather real or imagined, he will betray you. These are self centered comments he is making, and they should be showing you that he is weak and insecure rather than him being arrogant, or playing a game with you. You being jealous, needy or hurt because of this, just reinforces his behaviour. Tell him he is full of crap, and that he is lucky to even be with you.
He may be attractive, and sexy as you put it, but... if he actually believed it.. .he wouldnt bother talking about it. He would know better.

He is just insecure and wnats to reassure himself that you still care. The next time he says that , I would tell him that if he brings it up again, he will be looking for someone else to go out with. I hate guys that are conceited, and guys that play games.

Because he is stupid and likes seeing you get jealous about him. Start saying the same back to him, tell him about the guys honking at you when you driving down the road or about the guy who stopped and checked you out or whatever, even if you totally blew them off.

he probably is trying to make you jealous, and it's obviously working. :) we guys do this a lot...to girls we have already, and to those we don't yet. we know it makes the girl more interested in us if *other* girls are interested. that's just how women are.
i wouldn't worry about it. if there was any cheating going on, he'd be very sure *not* to tell you about it, obviously!

Act like you don't care. Just say, "Cool" and smile nonchalantly or something.
If you start telling him all this stuff to get back at him, it might seem pretty obvious. It takes one to know one, ya know? And it could get embarrassing if he thinks you're doing it on purpose.

i think he is just a little bit insecure. he probably is fishing for compliments from you. maybe he wants to hear you saying that he is sexy. maybe a little jealousy is called for. he probably wants to see your reaction to the statement. or maybe he wanted something more from you.
