She thinks that he is part bobcat because he looks like one and jumps higher and around more than the other cats that we have had

There is a breed called a Pixie Bob, which has the bobcat in its ancestry. Go to this website http://www.acfacats.com to read about the Pixie Bob. This is the website of the American Cat Fanciers' Association and it will show you pictures and breed characteristics so you can judge for yourself.

I had a cat that was part Pixie Bob (momma was a Pixie Bob and daddy was a traveling sales cat) and her hind legs were longer than normal, she could jump higher than any cat we ever had and her teeth were longer. She also had this little stumpy tail. She was a nice kitty. However, she didn't look anything like the pictures on the website. We got her from a breeder so that's how we knew her heritage.

Puma as in Cougar? Not possible.

Bobcat, potentially but it's very rare. A bobcat cross would have ear tufts, stub tail and cheek ruffs, along with usually extra toes. The breed is called a Pixibob, they've been developed in California. They're always spotted like a tabby and have short bodies.

Most cats can levitate at least 6' straight up, I have two who can make it to the top of 8' book cases without touching the sides.

Puma, probably not. Bobcat, yes. I have a bobcat hybrid.(accidental breeding between a domestic cat and a bobcat in a rural area of california)

He is larger then most cats, around 16 pounds, and not fat at all. Larger head, larger ears, huge feet, odd coat patterns, odd shape to his legs. He has a very deep meow, and he is very strong, muscular, and can jump like nobody's business. Hybrid and feral cats raised with humans from kittenhood tend to bond closely to just one person, or have one 'main' person and a few others that they will tolerate. They tend to be a tad more aloof then your average kitty, and have an incredibly deep, motor like purr.

If your cat has some of these traits, it is very possible that he may have that in his background somewhere.

Good luck!

Absolutely! Did not female Tigers mate with male Lions, and female Lions mate with male Tigers? They're called Ligers.
