Yes, it's perfectly normal for her not to lay eggs. It's actually better, in a sense, and less stressful for you both [you'd have to worry about getting them out without her freaking and attacking you]. You must be doing something right, like not leaving the light on if she's near one [it messes with them and somehow causes them to lay eggs]. BTW, she's a girl if her head is more grey than yellow. Grey 'tiels can be sexed visually, most others can't unless you really know your birds. Male cockatiels will have a bright vibrant yellow head, and two orange cheek patches. Females will have these features, but they're way duller and covered in grey, and the orange isn't as bright.

It is really hard to tell a male from a female so maybe this is the problem. If not, try feeding her hard boiled eggs, grind the shell up very fine and mix this in.The birds like it, it is NOT cannabalistic and it gives her the extra vitamins and calcium she may be missing.Of course if a female is all you have, the egg will not be fertile but I'm sure you already knew this. When you give this to her, only leave it a couple of hours because it can turn bad and make her sick.Just make sure it stays fresh.

Birds cannot be sexed by appearance. It takes a blood test. Birds have a vent and it is through this vent that copulation takes place. On an older bird sometimes you can feel the vent and if it is a female there will be an indentation to hold the egg. If there is any protusion there it should be a male. The blood test is about 35 dollars and the only way to know for sure.

Does she have a mate? Cockatiels usually need a mate to get started.
If she has a mate, does she feel settled enough in her environment? Is the cage big enough, is there a nest box?
Most cockatiels won't lay eggs without having a nest box, though some will.
Cockatiels can go their whole lives without laying eggs if the conditions aren't right for it.

It is likely a male. You can tell by the color of the cere. Others will tell you.

If she is a female you Do Not want her laying eggs. It is way to stressful to lay sterile eggs anyway. She needs lots and lots of calcium BTW. Cuttle bone in necessary,

You cant tell if it's a boy or a girl until they are older so you may have a boy and that would be a good reason why it is not breeding

you have not something to fret approximately. maximum toddlers at this age do not likely smile, purely look that way whilst they have gas. Our toddler did not surely smile until approximately 10 weeks and then they have been few and lots between! wait and spot, yet whilst it does ensue you will soften!!
