I asked another question about religion and I got this answer:
Luke 14:
18: And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19: And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20: And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
My dad is gone and my mom has to work very hard and doesn't have time to go to church or take me to any religious thing.. Am I going to Hell just because of my very selfish father? I have lived my life well and haven't commited any major sins.. I am not perfect but I am not racist and I do not enjoy insulting others..

Jesus said some can't come to Heaven due to lack of time in that same section of the Bible.

"how can a man "create" a religion?"
I am not knowledgable in the Bible but I believe in Hell and Heaven and Jesus died for our sins and most of the basic stuff but I can hardly recite verses..

What an honest question. Honey all you have to do Is ask Jesus to forgive (repent, turn away from your sins) you of ALL your sins,we all fall short of the glory of God. Ask Him to be your Lord & Savior. It doesn't matter how good you've been. To God there are no such things as Major & Minor sins. Sin Is sin,It's all the same to God. But you can be forgiven and spend eternity In heaven. Just ask... No one comes unto the Father(God) except by Me(Jesus). Without a relationship with Jesus nobody can get Into heaven.Don't put It off. Today Is the day of salvation. As for your dad, pray for him to receive Jesus. Remember to honor & obey your father & mother,so that your days on earth will be long. This Is the first commandment with a promise. We're to honor & obey them, not because they desrve It or If we feel like It. We are to Do It. Blessings....

Although no one on earth has the power to tell you where you'll be going in the next life, in my heart you are not going to hell.
[Ezekiel 18:19-20) {19} "Yet you ask, `Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. {20} The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.
If you live right, if you trust in Jesus and accept that he died and was risen for our sins, and do what he says -- which was to love, care, and have understanding for all -- you are not going to hell.
No other person can cause you to go to hell other than your very self. Remember, Jesus also came here to free us from man made rules and to follow the Father's. You are beautiful to Him, and He loves you so much more than this. :)

I hate it when people say, Ohhh you are such a good guy. Nope nobody is and God knows that. There may be people that go to church everyday and they do not have a relationship with God.
As long as you live your life for God and do your best to his standards and not humans, live by the grace offered by God. And one very important thing; God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in hime will not die but have eternal life. John 3:16 The bible in a nutshell. Take care and never forget the fact that it is more than just a religion but a relationship with the king of the universe. You will go far with God and not with religion.
Nobody can say if you are going to heaven or hell, you will know once you have a close relationship with God. There will be times where you feel you do not deserve heaven, but God loves you that much.

Jesus spoke on hell more than anyone else in the bible. He says it is a bad place to go. So I understand you not wanting to go there.
you don't go to hell for what you do, or what others do, you go for not asking Jesus to forgive your sins, and confessing that he is LORD and believing in your heart that he died for your sins and rose again
I realize that seems very simple. The bible can be difficult to read at first but you need to keep reading. In the book of Romans, (written to the church in rome, not the roman catholics) it says, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. If it was of works, then God owed him something. In other words, Abraham believed God so God honored that faith and he had eternal life. If Abraham had done works to be saved, then Abraham could boast about how he earned it, but that is not the case, so God does not owe him anything. God gives a free gift.
you salvation is dependent on having a life in Christ. You do that as I said above, confess your sins, believe in your heart that he died for your sins and rose again as you ask him to be LORD.
If you have to do this a thousand times, do so. But unless you get involved with some people to help you grow in faith, you will be often frustrated. INTOUCH.ORG that was recommended is a great place to start. I also recommend GRACE TO YOU (one word) dot ORG.
this last place has a tape library where you can take some tapes, listen and send back.

When you read the bible, you must read the verses in the context in which they are meant. The bible teaches, over and over again, that the way to escape hell is by confession of sins (we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God), and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your savior.
I think you're a little confused about some of these verses you're talking about. Do you have a good bible teaching church? It might be a good idea to go to one. You can see things much clearer when you've studied the bible.
Walk there....if you have to! It's the most important information on earth.

No, you are not going to hell because of anyone. We make a choice to be a follower of Christ or, not!
You sound like a wonderful person. However, if you have not asked the Lord to come into your heart, you truly need too. This is something you can do alone! Just open up your heart and talk to God! Prayer is conversation with our Lord. Recognize to Him that you do sin and that you do desire Him to be the Savior of your life! Ask the all loving Lord to come into your heart and make it anew for Him.
Prayer is a powerful thing! Truly! God bless you for seeking and I encourage you to seek God, pray to Him and look to see if there are any churches, nearby which have buses. Many do and you would not have to worry about getting to church!
I will be praying for you and I ask God to bless you and guide you.

Those who made excuses did not want to accept the invitation.
Think about that.
In the eyes of God we have all sinned, no matter how big or little our sin is, and the only way that we can go to heaven is by being justified by the blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for us at the cross of Calvary.
There is no other way that God will justify us except by faith in what Jesus did for each one of us personally, faith that we receive when we repent of our sin and turn to God and continue therein.

There is one sure way to go to hell and that is by rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The bible is crystal clear about believing on the Lord Jesus and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. It is simple, very simple. You can do that right now as you read this and then live your life for Him, read the bible and ask God to help you understand it. There are plenty of TV ministers to listen to ( and plenty not to) I suggest you listen to Joel Osteen from Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. www.joelosteen.com enjoy & grow in grace & knowledge. See you in heaven!

This story isn't necessarily about church as much as a commitment to God. Going to church is important to Christians in terms of forming relationships and fellowship and as a chance to learn, but there are plenty of people who go to church that according to the strict interpretations of the Christian Bible are going to hell. Jesus was basically saying that God needs to be the most important thing in your life, and not, in these cases, trips, work, or even your wife.

From reading about you, I take it that you're underage. The Bible does speak about the sins of the Father, but he doesn't speak of it in that way. He gives us all opportunity to love and accept him as our Savior. You don't have to attend church to love God or enter Heaven. There are many people who can't attend church due to a disability. God doesn't hold that against them. If you are truly serious about this, all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The Lord's prayer is in the Bible. Read it and accept him. Live your daily life to honor him. Read your Bible daily and when you're old enough to attend church, do so. All God wants is your love and for you to have joy in serving him.
