While I was doing a customer's makeup (I am a makeup artist), my coworker kept asking me to use my phone. Since I was in the middle of something, I gave her the phone so that she would stop interupting my customer. My coworker then said thanks and left to go home. Long story short, she put my cell phone in my customer's purse. I have no way to call this customer, only an address that may be outdated. So far, she has not returned my cell phone. What would you do?

Thank you all so much. I have tried calling it, but I did have it on silent mode since I was at work. Also, the battery didn't have too much life left on it either. All my co-worker said was, "I'm sooo sorry". I found a family member with this customers last name, and when I called, she said "ya I know her and no you can't have her number.Don't ever call here again!" I'm thinking about calling every De Falco in the phone book. This is so not my day. Can the police go to her since I have her name??

demand that my coworker buy me a new phone since it was her fault in the first place.
If she denies it or doesn't want to, have the manager get the video tape of the surveillance in the store that was pointed at you and tell her it is evidence to use against her in court if she wants it to go that far.
That's psycho of her to do!!

call your cell phone and see if the woman picks up. Also you never know if the address is still correct. Most likely when this woman finds your cell phone in her purse she will do something about it like call some contacts in th ephone to get it back. If you have your home # in there she might call there. My mother in law lost hers and this guy found it and he called my father in laws cell and the home phone to tell her that he found her phone so Good Luck.

Have you tried calling yourself to see if the customer will answer it, then realize it's not their phone? Otherwise I think replacing it would be the right thing for your coworker to do. I mean, it's gonna be expensive, but it was her accident.

search for the customer's address on line.
Ask around if anyone knows the customer
Call your phone until she answers.
