How did we get to hundreds or millions of years so fast? Last week we were still hanging around 6000.

There has not been hundreds of millions of years. We have about 6000 years of recorded history. Thats it, no more, no proof what soever that the earth has been here any longer, I heard one german scientist say the earth had been here no more than ten thousand years at he most because of the natural effect of what we call today global warming, it is natural occuring and there is nothing you can do about it. He found a way to measure the ring around the earth that our astronauts have so much trouble getting thru and he said it shrinking at a constant rate every year, With this being measured everysince 1950 it easy to caculate how old the earth is. Not millions, thats just evolutions trying to make money. It is a million dollar industry, think about, who makes the most money, a scientist or a school teacher. Yep, you got it, scientists write the books the teachers teach. Money MOney MOney

Your question is actually a two fold question and since I answer no to the second part the first part becomes invalid. I do not believe the earth to be hundreds of million years old thus I could not possibly believe that other civilizations were here that long ago.

Think of it this way, if the history of the world was a 24 hour day, humans showed up at 23:59 give or take a few seconds.

For most of the planets history it wasn't a particularly friendly place for life, especially complex life. I'd have to say that humans are the only civilization that has ever been here.

well, we are the only civilisation we have any evidence for. it's relatively easy to find evidence of human ancestors' use of stone tools and fire dating back millions of years, so if there was another civilisation we should probably expect to have found some sign of them by now.

We aren't. I'm a Christian, and i say that we aren't. The first civilization before the flood, and out current civilization, there's 2 already, and that's only 6000ish years
