No sure what you are asking here. There are many types of Childhood Cancer and like adult cancers if they are caught early they have a high survival rate. Cancer is a progressive disease which means when it is small it doesn't cause many problems and can usually be surgically removed. Survival rates go up or down depending upon the stage of the tumor, locations of tumor, the grade of the disease and the overall health of the patient and their initial response. There are many childhood survivors.

You did not state what type of cancer that it is. Even so, no one really knows. God heals! Miracles do happen! And new drugs are being produced if not to cure, but to give hope and prolong life. A person can live with certain diseases such as diabetes. Look how far AIDS has come. Twenty years ago people were constantly dying, now people are living with AIDS.
So my point here is "never, ever give up hope" .

Is this question just out of curiosity or do u know someone living with cancer?
There are many types of cancer and many stages. I survived cancer (Blood) as a child and now am leading a normal life.

depends on the cancer

with acute leukemia (most common in children)
4-6 mo without treatment
with treatment 90 percent remission rate

Each type of cancer has it's own symptoms, treatments and prognosis.
