I notice how everything about god through Christianity is pretty Egotistical. If you don't believe in him, he doesn't believe in you, you are only put here to celebrate him, and he is this all seeing all knowing infinite being of wisdom and knowledge? I would think that an all seeing all knowing infinite whatever wouldn't even give a **** if you celebrated him or not. What kind of all knowing, all loving god be such an egotistical jackass? To me it sounds like christians themselves are full of huge ego's too. Christians believe they are the only correct path. That after they die, there souls will be in eternal bliss? Sounds to me like they just can't accept the fact that they will be dead and forgotten. What do you think?

No i don't think ego is a reason for christanity. If christanity was right ( which i am willing to bet it isn't) i would 100% agree that god is an egostical asshole who would be no different from satan. The idea of sending people to hell for eternal torture is beyond morbid, unjust, and cruel. More than an egotistical asshole it would make god into some sort of cosmic Hitler on steriods. Like i said though i think christanity has vastly missrepresented god.

As for christians thinking they have the right path i don't think this is ego, i think it is because it is what they have been told to believe and it is impossible for them to consider they are wrong. I think that trying to get them to look at anything else will just make them draw a blank.

Obivousially i think all relgiion started either to explain phenomena that mankind did not understand or to comfort people for when others died. While i don't think jesus was anytrhing special i think he was very englihtened. Not for ego reasons but i think that religion has been deliberately manipulated and misconstrued so religious leaders, and key figures can use it as a source of power and opression to dominate the masses

EGO = easing God out

God created everybody. God believes in everybody. God does not want anybody to fail.

God does want us to love Him and celebrate Him while He is doing everything that needs to be done so we can have a happy and worry free life.

I no longer have the ego that you say I have as a Christian. I have been set free from thinking and talking like you, a very unhappy and stressed individual by the sounds of your rant.

Yes, Christians do believe that they are going to heaven because we have done what the Bible said, we gave our lives to Jesus, the one who died on the cross for our sins. Call it what ever you want, I call it freedom!

My friend, no one will ever be dead and forgotten. Hard to swallow? Truth says that all who die will be resurrected from the dead for judgment. The believers will go to heaven and the non-believers will go to hell and to the lake of fire for eternity. The hardest thing about all of this, is that it does not matter if you believe this or not. It just is!

I pray that you find a way to release the hate and bitterness in your life and that you find peace and truth through Jesus.

God loves you and so do I.

You haven't been smited for not believing have you? I think it is more meant to say 'worship me and read the book' then when you read the book in search of wisdom(read between the lines) you learn to be a good person and therefore pass to heaven. Considering only priests and high ups interpretted the bible long ago, it would make sence if there was ego written in, but the messages are there.... Also, Don't think you have to believe, I think it's more grasping the ideals that make a good person and a strong soul.

What do I think? I think you are afraid. I think you are confused and seeking but cannot find.

I'll try to explain something to you. When a baby is nursing at the breast, does that make the mother egotistical? Would you think it logical to tell the baby it doesn't need the mother any more?

You see, you are thinking backward. God doesn't force His children to glorify Him for His own sake. We do it for our own sakes. It's food, to the believer. Something you don't understand, this I know.

The world blinds you to the truth. It's sort of like those paintings that look like snow on a hill side but when you look closer, you see the entire body of a mountain lion. It all depends on how much time you're willing to spend studying it.

You see black on white. We see white on black. Change your concept and the whole world opens up to you.

You think it's broad mindedness. The problem is, you're so busy looking across the street, you don't notice the dog crap you just stepped in.

Historians and anthropoligists attest to the fact of man's need for religion. Even those who consider themselves atheists have some moral codes. Christianity is the religion that replaced Judaism, which became corrupted. Jehovah God sent his son Jesus Christ to be able to redeem the world from sin. But, an apostasy had also been prophesied in the Bible that's why you observe wrong conducts amonth those who claim to be true Christians. But Christianity is not about ego. In fact, if you read the story of Jesus' life, one of its paramount lessons is about humility and meekness.

How would you know about the mindset of ALL Christians - have you spent time with ALL of them to see whether or not, they are ALL "egotistical" ? You are generalizing through your ulter-ego ! Ask yourself the question: What if you are wrong? You seem so sure of yourself - is this not the pot calling the kettle -black ? I bet you find it rather difficult to remain so superior in such a mediocre world !!!

You SO don't get it. I KNOW that Christ was sent here to die for our sins.

Man, if your're not a Christian, that's your business. But, don't put down those of us who are. I'm NOT egotistical. I believe Christ died on the cross for me and for you.

It's about faith. You do the best you can to be a good person and do what you can to learn from your mistakes and not do them again. God doesn't expect perfection. That's why He sent his Son to die for us. To pay for that sin. But, we don't take advantage of that. He knows we will sin.

I don't mean to preach. I really don't. If you look at questions I've posted TONIGHT you will see I'm NOT fanatic. It's just SO not about having an ego. It's simply about faith.

At least be accurate, and don't be so anthropomorphic when discussing God. You treat Him like He's human. He is not human. And most of what you said has to do with you as well. You are guilty of the same thing yourself.

And you are not accurate when you say that He doesn't believe in you if you don't believe in Him. What He believes in you just fine, He just doesn't cover you.

Face it; He's in charge and you are not. You are not the boss, and He is.

So sulk if you want, you are just being a big baby about it.

I think you're a scared stubborn little narcasistic baby with some major hangups. I think you're enjoying living a life of sin and would rather not let something as inconvenient as eternal damnation get in the way of your good time.
As a christian i'll attempt to introduce you to the lord, shine the light on his teachings for you, i'll pray for you, but wanna know a lil secret? After that... If you still want to not believe and blaspheme god? I DO NOT CARE what you do, what you believe or what hurts your feelings, i gave it a go and you burning in hell is not my problem, it's yours.

When we praise God, it brings us closer to Him. It is for our own benefit.

And of course we believe our way is the only way. There can only be one truth. You can't say that both Christianity and Buddhism are true. They are opposed to each other. It is ridiculous to think that all religions are right for different people. Regardless of whether or not someone believes the truth, it doesn't change the fact that it IS the truth.
