Support Jena 6?

I support Jena 6, and i do believe these young men are being mistreated. I think the biggest punishment they should have gotten was suspension from school. For all you people saying these racist remarks, you all ar very ignorant because if six white boys beat up a black boy they would not be in court or get any news time because we live in a racist world. So i support Jena 6 and i hope those boys go home free.Wjo else supports them? And black people are not whining we are just sick and tired of white people putting our young black youth in jail for no reason.

To loofa, they beat up the white boy b/c he was calling them n*ggers so you get your facts straight. Those boys dont deserve any jail time b/c at my school boys jump boys and people fight and people that were jumped were beat up way worse then that kid ,but none were ever tried in court.

To james and VC kids jumping kids happen all the time but as soon as it happens with black kids jumping a white person they have to try the kids and send them to jail until they are 30 that is so unfair and that is very racist.

To sweetmommy if 6 white boys beat up a black male then this case probably wouldnt have made news b/c the news wouldnt want to mess up the "poor" white kids lives

It was more than the six boys who beat the kid up it was basically every black person around the fight at school so i dont unferstand why those boys are being harshley punished. If the white boy was able to go to a school function that night with no major wounds except a black eye then what those black boys did was not attempted murder.

I completely support Jena 6 and I totally agree with you when you say the biggest punishment they should have gotten was suspension from school. Where I'm from, if you were jumped or in a fight thats all you got. Regardless of race or anything else. And you might have gotten a beaten from your mother but nothing as harsh as being locked up. So, you're sixteen years old and have all this figured out because you are educated. I believe that is the same age as these boys. Are you saying that they were too ignorant to know the difference between right and wrong because they weren't 18 years old? How did you get so much more education in your sixteen years than all of these boys? Do you believe because you feel that you are more mature and educated than the average sixteen year old that if you committed such a crime that you should be tried as an adult? Did the racial thing come into play when the nooses were hung? I don't think so. I think it started when one of the black students asked if he could sit under the tree knowing that this spot was traditionally occupied by white students. What was staff supposed to tell him? They told him that he could sit anywhere he pleased. But why did he want to sit THERE? I believe that his purpose was racially motivated and wanted to stir racial tensions. I grew up 12 miles from Jena in the small town of Olla. I lived in Jena for several years but I now live in North Carolina. I have worked for the prison system in both Louisiana and North Carolina. If an inmate attacks me, I have the right to defend myself but only until resistance stops. Certainly you don't believe it is OK to knock someone out and continue beating them especially having 5 other accomplices helping you. These boys have learned nothing but that if you have dark skin you can get by with committing crimes and if you don't then you were discriminated against. They may get out of their present predicament but I can almost guarantee you that these boys will be convicted of other crimes before they reach 25 or will have been killed in the process of committing another crime. I'm not advocating that what the white students did as right but at the same time I can't see these boys getting off scott free either. All this protest did was to further alienate these two races.

They should get some punishment for beating this boy up, but these 3 white boys who hung nooses from that tree should have gotten more then a 3 day suspicion. The Jury for the one boy was all white, that has to tell you something. Though I don’t think these guys should get the maximum sentence, 22 years is what I heard, they need to be punished but so do the white boys who clearly started the ball rolling in these mess. Perhaps Community service, or 8 weeks of boot camp.

Law Of Reverse

First the facts,

When black students asked if they could stand under the tree the principal said yes. This does not sound raciest, but I suppose Al Sharpton would only be happy if the principal declared the tree for blacks only.

Second someone hung a noose from a tree, very stupid and insensitive but no one went to hospital unconscious after they saw it. In fact the ropes were taken down immediately and the offenders suspended. Also the DA came to the school and told everyone (not just the blacks) this has got to stop from both sides saying "I can be your best friend or your worst enemy... I can take away your lives with a stroke of my pen.". Wow he must be just as raciest as the principal; the whole town is starting to look raciest.

Now the real issue, the facts are 6 kids ganged up on one kid beet him unconscious and only stoped because others pull them off. This kid ends up in the hospital and could have died. Later that night he is seen at a school function so I suppose you think we should all forget it? How would you feel if it was your son or daughter (or family member) that got beet up and sent to hospital just because they were black?

It just goes to show you some 50 plus years and America is still the same if not worse...The black boys that jumped on the one white boy should not have jumped him all at once...That was a coward thing to do, they should have gotten suspended just like the white kids that hung the noose...The white kids that hung that noose from the tree, were "DEAD WRONG".... all they got was a slap on the wrist....I think they should have received a much harsher punishment as well....but they didn't.... for example If a person went an airport an yelled out "bomb" that is a federal offense, even if it were just a joke... but it's wrong... and very offensive...And serious jail time would follow....The president from Iran that wants to hang a reef on ground zero.... that's offensive to Americans...therefore the people won't let it happen...The "Noose" hanging from the tree was Very offensive, it;s as if those ignorant white kids think that it was funny when people were being lynched for no reason at all years ago....It should have never happened....As a result we have such tension... personally I think this may create more racial tension and much more injustice throughout the U.S.! The coward of a judge should be disbarred and the entire court system needs to apologize to the city of Jena, LA for the crap they are putting the city through.... It's an embarrassment!!! The U.S. is supposed to better than this!

Let me get this straight, a white kid (under 18) who had nothing to do with the noose on the tree thing, calls some black kids (also under 18) the n word (the N word being commonly said in music and society, ex. The Chapelle Show and Chris Rock), gets jumped by 6 black kids. The first hit knocks the white boy out because it was from the back of the head, The the 6 black kids proceed to undo racial mistreatment by beating the now unconscious white boy. Unable to block any hits the white boy must endure the repeated strikes against him because these black kids were "offended" by a noose they them selves never did see but they heard about it. ? Those that are marching for the black kids need to remember they savagely beat a innocent white kid for no reason other then race. 6 humans beat 1 human. 6 humans that are able to be tried as adults beat one human until he was unconscious. Is that racially motivated?

The law applies to everybody. If you assault somebodyt hen you should be in jail. No excuses. I was bullied all my elementary yrs and part of hs. Did I go nuts and beat someone to near death? No! That would be illegal.

I am proud of MLK III because he didn't just say he's white so it's a joke.

Once again Sharpton got involved because this girl claimed she had been raped by a few white guy's. Her face and Sharpton's were all over the news. Come to find out..IT WAS A LIE !!!!..nobody had even raped this young girl and she goes and points the finger at a bunch of white students. How pathetic !!!

Look at the damage that black woman (dancer) did to those guy's at Duke University..where was Sharpton when the truth about that fiasco came out? Why couldn't he himself come out and apologise or defend the white kids against the lies the girl told. Because he is a racist and this fiasco proved just that !!!!!! He ran away like a weasel !!!
