I have one word ok two Bethel Siam .. ok Three Rutherford....
And as for HEAVENly EYES insinusation that all other churchs hold out there hands .. I would like to bring to the courts attention . the very large and numerious collection boxes ( Watched very carefully I might add ) at the Conventions ...
and as for the numerious works during a disaster I would like to also point the courts attention to a list recently published on the www.watchtower.org .. of 4 Great acts of kindness constituing a grand total of 5000 people .. housed in their KH during the hurricain hmmmm wow that impress they didnt lock their doors
ps they have removed the list off the website ...
Island Princess: actually we do care .. hense the questions. It is because sadly the members of the WT&TS are discouraged to even think about these question that we are forced to ask them .. we hope that those "In the Truth" will start to ask themselves these questions .. so that maybe they can truly become in the Truth .. not the lies

I gotta agree with LineDancer - What DO you care?
The priority is to preach. Besides, I'm sure an intelligent lady such as yourself knows through research and common knowledge that church $$ doesn't accomplish 2 much 4 the poor when it's fueling the Reverend's Porche. Just b/c they donate to charities doesn't mean there isn't a whole lot more they're keeping 4 themselves (think Ananias and Sapphira).
The money goes to those preaching worldwide; how do you think they can afford to live in those parts of the world when they preach from sunrise 2 sunset and beyond?

What Heavenly Eyes said is true, God does not like beggars. What you need you can go to God and ask for your needs and your blessings, but DO NOT beg for it. Your blessings is your rights and Jehovah God is willing to give it freely.
What Moises said is also true and I would like to add that I myself DO NOT donate money to any charity, unless I know they are bona fide and honest. Too many charities out there are wicked schemeing people to donate money like the "Cancer Association". They are corruptors and liars. They already received billions of dollars from donation and the CEO is reaping that benefits. They don't care about finding a cure because if they do, ALL the doctors and Pharmaceutical Companies will go out of business! A lot of charities are liars! Jehovah God will tend to them when the time comes. I know this for a fact and I am not lying about it. It came out in the books and on national television. But people have blind faith and hopes, and so fall into this "gullible traps". (Well, I'm not the only gullible person in this world). Slowly I am being led to be wiser and so someday will shed all my foolishness. Ole Baby I am telling the truth, and before you donate your hard earned money, you better make sure you know all facts first. Just a friendly advice because I have been scammed in the past myself. But God knows it and He knows I am innocent. My revenge is His.

It is so ironic, in one breath you are claiming the Governing body is rich, and in the very next sentence you comment on the "crappy apartments" they live in.... that's right, THEY live in the same area as the rest of the Bethel family.
Anyone is able to tour Bethel, even if you aren't one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Maybe you should sign up for one.
As was mentioned, the voluntary donations are used to help people around the world. Many Jehovah's Witnesses went down to New Orleans and have helped to rebuild houses. They are usually the first ones on the scene. The reason you don't know that is, they choose not to "blow their horn" in front of them. Their attitude is not "WOO HOO, LOOK AT ME!!" They see what needs to be done and they do it, in a very organized loving manner.
The donations are also used to support the preaching work in 236 lands. These are areas that people can't afford to pay $10 to $100+ for a Bible, which is the going rate for Bibles (I found one on Amazon for $10,000)
It's unfortunate that you don't consider teaching people around the world to better themselves by means of the knowledge found in the Bible as a worthwhile cause. However, I personally do and therefore I will continue to "voluntarily donate" to this worthwhile, world wide project.

Most religions siphon a majority of "charity" dollars to fund their administration, social clubs I mean churches, and other events and services that do nothing to help anyone but their own members. A tax scam perpetuated upon those who refuse to belong to organized religion.

After the celebration of the Passover in the year 30 C.E., Jesus Christ went into a synagogue on the Sabbath day. He there read part of Isaiah’s prophecy and applied it to himself. Luke 4:16-21 says, in part: “He opened the scroll and found the place where it was written: ‘Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor, he sent me forth to preach a release to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away with a release, to preach Jehovah’s acceptable year’ . . . Then he started to say to them: ‘Today this scripture that you just heard is fulfilled.’”
There is Nothing about Opening Soup Kitchens and the Like.. it was all about " Preaching the Good News of the Kingdom"... See.?

Dwayne: when I was a Witness, I use to think as you do, mostly because I Was told how other (Christendom) Churches handles their wealth.
Getting away from the Witnesses has shown me a quite different side of Christians, and i am here to tell you, that, There is no difference in the Christian love and generosity in my church, Than there was in the Kingdom Hall..Actually more so, I can honestly say, and this is why.
Witnesses give with a motive...They associate, with a motive...If you are in with them all is OK, but if you start o stumble, or even question, then they discipline you in the most unchristian ways.
Regular churches embrace you and lift you up, just as our Lord did.
Things have changed since I was a Witness, but I never saw with my own eyes, any Witness give to any charity, or help unless they thought it was to bring someone into the faith.
I am not claiming that this never happens, I can only speak for my experience.

Jehovah's Witnesses go to great lengths to be as different from Christian churches as it is possible. This is because they believe all other churches are part of Babylon the Great, the Harlot, who will be destroyed by world politics. Therefore, whatever mainstream Christian churches do, they do not.
The organisation is registered as a Publishing company and derives its revenues from voluntary publishers (that's JW's) distributing their literature. JW's also contribute to the coffers from their own incomes and leave money to the organisation in their wills. I know this because I used to be one.
Every emphasis is placed upon "preaching the good news of the kingdom" (their version of the gospel message), and none is placed upon charitable acts of human kindness - unless it's to one another.
But please don't concern yourself as to where all their revenues are going. Worry instead that millions of people are being misled by a man-made organisation which insists upon salvation by works and denies it's members salvation through the covenant Jesus established 2,000 years ago. Only a mere 144,000 persons can claim to be Spirit filled, anointed Christians, according to them. Millions have been deceived into thinking they can only have a measure of the Holy Spirit and will have to settle for second-best. Pray for their salvation and quit worrying about the money.

It's obvious that you are not looking for a real answer. Do you and the other apostates get together each day and decide which one of you gets to ask the next stupid question about JW's? Get a life, for crying out loud!
