So I am looking at a site that sells magnets.
Some say:
Pulling Force: 28.67 lbs
and some say
Holding power is 24.8 lbs.

what is the difference between pulling and holding?

pulling is the power that pulls metal stuff to it
holding is when a metal thing is stuck to the magnet a force is holding metal that force is called holding power

I agree with the first answer. And a magnet with a pulling force of 188 lbs could be very dangerous. Depending on circumstances you could suffer crush injuries equivalent to having a 200lb man standing on your hand.
