Why he needs to tell me that? He should tell that to his wife or gf, not someone who is not interested in him or have anything to do with him.

Well if everybody was interested in everybody that was interested in them then getting laid would be a lot easier. It sounds like he was trying to do two things one get some extra eyes ( you to help keep his kids ii line) and two see if you would strike up a conversation so he could see if you were in the market. Why is it so wrong for a guy to show you some interest ? Even if you don't like him give him some credit for trying .

There's nothing wrong with saying that and he maybe telling you to your face, just in case there's abit of gossipping going on in the neighbourhood. The other thing is, he's just letting you know if his children give you any trouble at all, let him know so he can sort things out with his kids. Stop worrying about the small stuff in life.

i dont understand why you wouldnt understand that, its very simple he is being nice to you and letting you know that if his kids happen to bother you to let him know and he will deal with it, as far as telling you he is a single dad and mom its a way of saying hes doing the best he can but he is only one person . you seem to think everyone is so strange when there just doing and saying normal things. i can assure you he wasnt assuming you had interest in him.

don't flatter yourself so much, It sounds like he is trying to raise his children to be respectful of the neighbors. I does not come off like he is interested in you in any way except to be treated properly by his kids

Easy, he thought his kids were giving you a hard time, and didn't want you to think it was because he was a bad parent he is trying the best he can.... you couldn't get that?
