Fleas do not usually stay on humans, however they can and do bite humans. Fleas prefer animals. If the animals are removed from the home the fleas will live in the carpet-they jump on you long enough to bite and get some blood-that's what they eat.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU2OG

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Although fleas prefer to stay on dogs rather than humans, they do stay on humans and in your carpet, too! My dog and my roommate's cat both had fleas at the same time and it was miserable! I had numerous flea bites around my ankles from the fleas that stayed in the carpet. I would recommend treating your dog's fleas with Frontline or Advantix right away. It will alleviate the itchiness and headaches for both you and your dog.

They prefer to be on cats, dogs, and other animals.
They only go on an animal to feed. If they jump on you, they will likely jump off soon and go to an animal or back 'home.'
Fleas live in carpet, grass, furniture, etc. This is why you also have to treat your whole house and yard if you have a flea problem.
