White always looks great with green. You could paint the walls white and accent the room with navy.

A picture is always helpful.
1] try painting the room the white shade of the lines in tile.
Get a shower curtain in a print of the green, white, and whatever color you like; using that color for sink accessories and rug, etc.
2] paint the bath a lighter shade of the same green.
3] ignore the green, and paint it whatever pastel you like best.
Use a shower curtain that covers the tile all up!

Well, to make the room look bigger, try using a lighter color (maybe green) b/c lighter colors make rooms look bigger. maybe hints of white or maybe even like a sky blue would look pretty in your room too.

search the net for using the "color wheel"; it will provide you with information on mixing and matching colors together. there are certain combinations that have become a sort of rule-of-thumb; like the triad color combinations, complementary combinations, supplementary combinations, etc, etc. in general, i think u should go light; towards the whitish-light yellowish color. make sure u consider lighting too as it can effect the final outcome.

I would suggest a beige, like "compatible cream" or "mcadamia" by Sherwin Williams. I have green tile in my bathroom, and that's the color that we chose.

Well I’d use black (but that’s just me.) I’d say to make it look bigger... maybe an off-white. Or a light gray, or light blue.

I'd say white would look the best. Or if you don't want it to be too "white & bright", go for a nice cream.
