i am not sure if it is the lymph node that is swollen but i would suggest you have it check out by GP/doctor especailly if you have over that time frame and it hasn't got smaller..
it could be a number of things - maybe an infected hair from shaving..
a couple of yrs ago - i had a lump under my armpit - and was concerned - went to gp who sent me to specialist - turns out i have a vein that had got fatty cells in it and that was the lump..
i had it removed and no problems since..
good luck

Are you sure this is a swollen lymph node?
Who diagnosed this?
While it is a possible, even likely diagnosis, others are possible.
These include things as widely different as a blocked sweat gland through to breast cancer.
Get a Dr to diagnose, rather than relying on guesses by strangers on the internet!

Yes, immediately. I was dignosed with hodkins lymphoma about a month ago. I had a swollen neck lymph node though, but they say its also very common in your armpit. They will order a set of CT's and x-rays, then probably a biopsy.

I saw a program on TV that said that the most common place to get breast cancer was the quarter of the breast that is closest to the armpit. With that in mind I would suggest making an appointment asap. If it is cancer it is best to catch it early, it can minimize what is needed to treat you. Catching it early could mean the difference between a simple tumor removal and chemo or radiation, possibly even death. If it is not cancer than you can probably relax.

yes, U should go to a oncologist and get its biopsy done which can tell you whether it is malignant or a normal node.
Lymphoma node generally starts in neck beneath the ear , then in armpit and groin.
I wish u all the best. May your test turn out negative.

Why are you even asking this question? Of course you should see a doctor! If you feel or see something abnormal, you should definitely seek treatment. Good luck and take care. : )

definetly! don't mess around with things like this, if it is something, you'll want to catch it early and if it's not then you'll have peace of mind instead of worrying about it. Good luck to you!
