At first I suspected worms, but her weight is increasing. She never used to be a greedy cat when it comes to food, and all of a sudden she eats probably twice as much as usual. She isn't pregnant because we don't let her outside. She has this big, soft, saggy belly now.
Her attitude hasn't changed at all, still playful as ever, her skin/fur/eyes/nose all look fine. I don't know why she won't stop eating!
She is about a year, a little over. Any idea what's wrong with her?

Take her to the vet. It could be any of a number of things. Could still be worms, my cat got quite heavy when he had worms. Take her to the vet.

Considering you're the one who controls the food bowl, it's an easy fix.

Feed her all she'll eat for 15 minutes, then take the bowl away and put it where she can't get it. Set it down three times a day, and she'll not be able to overeat during those 15 minutes each time. There's no need to free feed a cat who's constantly digesting food all day.

Feed her when you get up, when you get home from work, and then right before you go to bed. Fat on a cat is very hard to get off, so keep her from getting to look like a beach ball and restrict the times she's got with access to the bowl. But leave the water bowl out all day, she needs that.

Did u try to deworm her? how about trying to only give her a cup full in the morning and a cup at night in her food bowl, put her on a diet, shes probably bored. Just like people do when they have nothing to do. I have a lazy cat too, she does that and the only time she will play is with a lazer light. I have been letting her bowl run out and I let her follow me around the house begging...at least she gets some excersize

Has she been spayed? Some girls go on and off their food in crazy ways -- like humans with PMS -- when they are going in and out of heat.

Is she bored? Is she stressed? Does she have competition at her food dish?

A cat that is overweight should not be free fed. Measure her food according to the instructions on the bag or can and feed her twice a day.

Play with her lots. This will reduce her stress level, if that is a cause, and help her tighten her belly, too.

She might be going Thu a growth spurt, that would increase her appetite. I would worm her just in case, it wont hurt. Just keep an eye on her and if in a couple of weeks she doesn't stop over eating I would take her to the vet.
