Hey, I really need help to determine if one of my best guy friends likes me as more than just a friend. We've known each other for like 5-ish years and been good friends for like 2. Whenever we hang out (everyday in the summer and every weekend basically--except for when we're in college) it's in a group setting, but we have hung out just us a few times. He knows I like him, but I personally didn't tell him or talk to him about this. Even after he found out he didn't act like awkward around me at all. The way he acts in general towards me confuses me too...if you need more info just let me know. Any advice will greatly help!

The thing is, we're not 'going out' or dating or anything like that. Also, the last time my friend brought something up about "us", he said that he wouldn't want a relationship with us going away to college and when he doesn't have a lot of money to spend. Do you think he said that just to be nice, or did he actually mean that maybe something will happen later?

I was friends with a girl all through college. We ran into each other 3 yrs later. I was new in town and she offered to be my tour guide. We started going out as "just friends" and became best friends. After some time, I tried to break it up. I told her I was falling in love with her. She said she had fallen in love with me too. We've now been married 41 yrs. Sooooo one of you needs to make the move and say something. Or, when out on a date, move in close and kiss him. You will know by the way he kisses you back if he feels the same way. If it is awkward, you can act embarrassed and say, "I'm sorry, that just sort of slipped out. You know I really like you, don't you?" Good luck. Marrying your best friend is a great idea. We have seen people do things to their spouses that they would never do to their best friends.

His feelings may be confused. He may like you, but he's too worried about what if I do go out with this girl then another girl comes along that I like more. Plus he may like you so much that he doesn't want to mess your friendship up, and that's another reason that he does what he does. I don't know i'm kinda in that situation now, where I'm friends with a girl, and I like her and everything, and she's kissing on me and stuff, and i'm like stop. Go away, but I don't know how to do that without hurting her feelings. Cause I don't like her like that.

He may like you as a sister.
