It's been 6 years, why have'nt they fixed the Twin Towers yet?
It only took a few weeks to fix the pentagon. I would think that the owner took the money from the insurance company and abandoned it, but it's like owned by the state or something, right?

The Freedom tower idea is obviously just the ravings of a lunatic. Silversteen has lots of money so he can surround himself with yes men who pretend he is sane..

I think the port authority canceled the insurance policy on the building because there was no money for it in the budget, or something, The port authority is just letting that guy who leased it make believe he owns it, If this nonsense goes on long enough, maybe they N.Y. will forget about the buildings, or so they hope.

Ok,
Silversteen has a 99 year lease. That is basically the same thing as ownership. The Port Autority does not have the insurance policies, Silversteen does.
Silversteen did not just take the insurance money and walk - he has actually had problems getting the companies to pay.
Part of the hold up is that the site had to be cleared. Then, they started going through the design phase.
They have now begun construction.
With all the different groups and government agencies involved in the process things tend to drag out.
It will still be years before they are finished with the reconstruction.

There's nothing ther to "fix". Construction is ongoing and from the crater up. They are building the Freedom Tower combined with a 9/11 Memorial of some type.

ok the Pentagon had a section of its structure destroyed not the whole building, in case you have forgotten. With the WTC, you are talking over a million lbs. of debris that had to be carted off first. Then, there was the insurance and design issues. And of course, the search of human remains after human remains were found a couple of years after the attack.
So before you go shooting off the mouth, get that facts first.

i believed they knocked the freaking thing down
they are rebuilding it and it takes time
i walk pass it all the time and it smells so bad and dirty and polluted
its the world fianical center so...
