Yom Kippur is a religious holiday, not a civil holiday. Also, since it falls on a Saturday this year, the question is a moot point. Shalom.

yom kippur starts at sundown on friday. and so that usually means school will be in session for friday because yom kippur is on saturday officiall.

in new york however, they usually get the day off.

the day of atonement, you all need to repent.

Christmas and Easter are statutory holiday journeys meaning you cant make people paintings on those days. i dont think of thats honest to different religions and their holiday journeys, so in line with probability the Broward County Public college Board feels the comparable and has a extreme sufficient concentration of Jewish scholars that without them its pointless to open.

Depends on the area. I've heard of it but in Utah they sure don't. I don't' know about New York but I would think so since there's probably a lot of people there who celebrate it.
