i call her nonstop and if she doesnt pick up, i get my brain to the point where i am positive she actually did die and i start having panic attacks. If she's in a car i think that she got in a car accident and if shes on the train i think the train went off the track. If she's out to dinner i think someone slipped something in her drink. It's only over my mom though. And when i think about life sometimes i get so worried over the future i throw up. This feeling keeps getting worse and worse. Please tell me what is wrong with me?

My mom cheated on my dad and they are divorced now. I worry about her dating other men and them getting her drunk and her not coming home. These thoughts may be weird to other people but they seem very surreal to me.

It sounds like you have severe anxiety. Please see a doctor immediately. Don't worry...everything will be fine, just remember that it is all "in your head," so to speak. God Bless.

I have anxiety problems too. I am also an early teen (I'm 13). Did your mom go through a near death experience? This is probably why you worry. Or have you been in one or a close person? This could be the cause. Well, I feel confident about the future, becuase I strive to do the best in school. If you get a good education, you know more and such. You can do the same thing, but also leave time to have some fun too if you can. I don't want you taking my advice and not getting any fun out of it. I hope you get well. Also, self-therapy also works too. I'm using self-therapy. Well, what you have I cannot name. Yes, but there must be a name for when someone worries about death and the future to the extreme. Wait, it is called like "fear of death disorder" or "death phobia". Something like that. You worry to much with "What if..." questions. Well, I do as well, but I strive to do my best. You could do the same if you want it to go away...

I hope you get better...

You are having acute anxiety attacks. Whether or not they are based in reasonable fears or not, the way you react is not reasonable nor is it normal.
You need help. Get to a Doctor and see if you can get onto some anti-anxiety drugs. There are lots of them. You can find the one right for you and get on with your life.

Anxiety, while normal in teens, can still reach the unreasonable heights that you are describing whe fears become so outlandish that they make you ill.

You have an anxiety problem, just like you said. You need to visit the psychiatrist and a therapist as well.

NAMI - National Alliance for Mental Illness www.nami.org will help you find a dr. if you need one, or a therapist. They have tons of information about anxiety disorders, and they also have a message board where you can converse with people with similar disorders.

You are worried about your mom so much because your father is no longer living there.
You are afraid she will be taken away from you forever.
Because of the amount that you are worried about this, it would be good for you to meet with a therapist. You and the therapist can begin to examine the likelihood of all these things happening to your mother. I also worry about my mother. She is the person I love most in the world.
Good Luck

This sounds like a little more than just anxiety. I think you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Fearing death and cancer constantly is a symptom of OCD. There are medications and desensitizing therapy that can help a lot with this. But you have to see a therapist and a psychiatrist.

Honey don't be like me @ 27. I worry about MY mom too but I really think I get it from her. It's normal to worry but this sounds like major paranoia. You need to tell some1.

this could be serious, you need to see a psychiatrist and get through this before you lose too many of the best years of your life. There is hope for you, but you need to be guided through it with knowledgable help.
