I just started my new job yesterday. When I was down in a different department, a guy (who I think is really cute) and I caught eye contact when he walked past me, but he was talking to his boss and so that was it.
Later on that day, I was being trained in a different area and was stadning a foot next to him. He normally is kind of quiet but the started to crack jokes and be funny (to his coworkers) and then when I walked past him, he looked up at me and we caught eye contact again... but I didn't know what to do and I looked away. :(
Is he just looking at me because I'm a new face, could he be interested and shy, or just coincidental eye contact?

Yes to any of those. Just keep doing what you are doing and, if he is interested, he will ask you out.

Learn your job and see what happens with this guy. I wouldn't try to start dating someone you work with but that's just me. That could be a recipe for disaster. Good luck

It's your first day on the job. Concentrate on learning it, rather than starting up a career ending coworker romance.

If he's made eye touch a team of situations, he's probabley flirting with you. once I attempt to get a adult men interest i watch till he makes eye touch with me :-) its a great flirting approach :-)
