I am so sorry that people hurt you and did not support you. We are here though. I understand mental illness, I suffered with it for many many years. Try to let those other non supportive opinions go to the wayside. I know you must be suffering and you should feel free to express yourself here. It is just that some people are immature and when they have not experienced what you have, they really don't know how to answer.

Honey you have to remember that the internet is open to the world. Don't get so upset when people send you emails. If you don't want to don't let them change it in your profile. That way if you want to correspond with someone you get their email address and than you contact the person that you want to. Only contact those that you feel have a real interest in helping you.
I have dealt with mental illness since I was nine years old and I know how it can feel to think that you're all alone and that no one really understands you but there are those of us who do. I promise you that. I hope that you find someone that you can talk to.

Perhaps you should begin to focus not so much on yourself, but on helping others in need. Branch out a little bit and you'll be surprised how other peoples' problems are really bad also, and you can be of some service to them. That will give you more purpose in life.
Also, begin to think in a more positive manner. This is very difficult to do when you're a victim of poor mental health.
I used to suffer from major depression until I got on Wellbutrin 300 mg. It's been 4 years since I had depression but I understand somewhat how you feel.
There's a good book out called "Real Magic" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. He teaches you how to achieve happiness, health, success and prosperity in daily life through positive thinking and action. Perhaps you can get some ideas on how to improve your life. I sincerely hope the best for you.

I haven't seen your previous e-mails, or at least I don't think I did.
If you need help for mental illness, NAMI National Alliance for Mental Illness www.nami.org is a fabulous resource. They can find you drs & therapists in your area, they have tons of info, and a posting site where you can talk to people with similar illnesses.

Hi there,
i never saw any of your questions either. I am sorry that people were silly or ignorant and hurt your feelings.
People think that they can say whatever they want in here because it is all anonymous . They have nothing to lose. Please do not take them seriously and remember most of us are not professionals.
I am sorry the emails were rude too, just ignore them. They do not know you or what is going on so they are more hurtful.

Chantale Sweetie, no matter what we say or do we are going to hurt some of the people some of the time because they don't like our answer or it isn't what they wanted to hear!
Take heart because there are many whom appreciate your answers.
If you are hurt by what they say, remember you can block them so they can't upset you again, because most of us are going through something now.
Also could be venting, but, I'm neither ready for abuse, unkind words or venting, so I won't allow my self to be vulnerable to it.
Therefore, wouldn't read hate mail, but instead realize that we have only tried to help that person.
They may strike at soft sweet spirited people*

Some people are idiots! The people who are being rude and nasty to you just don't know you, or are trying to make themselves feel more important. I usually try not to answer your questions, but this one compelled me to do so. Chany you are a wonderful and amazing person, and don't let anyone here or anywhere else try to take that away from you!
Remember stupid people make you look smart, so the people who are being judgmental toward you or anyone else for that matter, should make you feel like a freaking genius!!!

Don't take it too personally sweetie! I just got a nasty Email from this chick because I answered her question about guys honking their horns at girls. I told her I was 48 and still like it. She got her panties in a bunch and tried to give me a cyberspace lashing..ha! (She obviously never gets honked at!) My hubby and I got a good laugh. Don't take it to heart, ok? There's enough of us out here that a few dimwits don't matter.

'Tis better to be pissed off than pissed on.
Unfortunately, many people who do not/have not suffered from mental illness seem to think it's just something to make fun of.
